MEEDEN Flat Paint Brushes Set Long Handle Golden Nylon for Oil Acrylics Watercolor and Gouache Color Painting , 7-Piece

I bought these for a painting class I signed up for in college and didn't want to spend a lot. These have been PERFECT. Even my instructor was amazed. Easy to clean, easy to paint with, smooth lines, loads paint very easily, soft, etc.

This item has the quality of expensive / professional artist grade paint brushes, but without the hefty price tag. I should know, as a professional artist who works in acrylic, mixed media, etc., I have tried hundreds of brushes over the last decade. I was astonished by the quality when I bought the angle set last year. While similarly priced brushes shed, lost their form, had cheaply made handles with paint that immediately flaked / peeled off, these have the integrity comparable to brushes priced four to five times more than this. Not only do I recommend to anyone --- hobbyist / crafter / artist / face painter --- I stock up on them because I can't see myself ever being without a reason to have them. I wish that the other brush sets I bought at this price were only half as good as these. Take good care of these (use bar / cake soap for brushes) and don't leave them for hours in a water cup. I can't express how great these truly are, and as a professional, brushes are the tools of my trade. A++++

I haven't put a ton of painting miles on these yet, but so far they have held their shape quite well (flat bushes don't tend to last as long for me as pointy ones). They are well made, nice to hold, and easy enough to clean. My only gripe is they are bigger than I expected. The flat #2 for instance, is around twice the lateral size of my two other flat #2 brushes which reduces the set's utility for my miniature (mostly warhammer) painting.

Well made and so far a good brush for my needs. I have had no problem with them.

Great set of brushes. Soft enough and they don’t lose shape unless I’m reckless cleaning them. Hairs don’t come off.

I've had these for a few months now and primarily use them for gouache - they're firm enough when I am going in thick and opaque but also hold enough water when I'm going in thin like watercolor. I've tried other cheap sets but this one is standing the test of time.I'm a little confused by the review that complains about holding water, though, since that seems like a feature to me- these brushes don't dry out prematurely. Perhaps it is a different style, or using thick acrylics where this becomes a problem.But for gouache - perfect.

These are definitely not long-handled paint brushes. In fact, they are perfectly short; however, if you like a little distance between your hand and your canvas, these are not the brushes for you.

I bought these for use in putting tung, linseed and/or Truoil finishes on gun stocks that I am refinishing. I tried other artist type brushes, but they all shed onto the wood. Useless when this happens. After I started using these brushes they haven't shed one bit and they created a nice smooth finish. Walnut gun stocks finished in oil are much more beautiful than those sprayed with urethane or other finishes. These brushes help create that oil finish without shedding.

Work well, no stray hairs, clean up easily

I like these brushes so much they are my third set. Not because they don't last but because I don't treat them well enough and let paint dry on them some times by mistake as I become engrossed in what I am doing. I have a set for acrylics and another for oils, and one spare. They have a nice sharp edge to them and don't shed, so I can paint accurately. I find the hairs are just the right length, a lot of brushes have the hairs too long for the way I paint. Will continue to order them as and when I need them, hope they stay in stock.

These are surprisingly good brushes especially for the small price. Much better than some of the rubbish Chinese brushes which shed bristles like a melting cat.Worth a look.

I'm still pretty new to oil painting and have tried various brushes, from student type to the more expensive professional ones. These brushes are fabulous! They help the paint glide on effortlessly onto canvas (that's what I've only been using) and have become my go-to brushes!
