Tostitos Chunky Salsa

Both my husband and myself have a minor addiction to this stuff. Maybe not to minor . They come packaged in thick bubble wrap like material . one came broken on one shipment but amazon was good to give a quick refund. Times are tough during covid 19 lock down or isolation and sometimes you want a good comforting food. this is good not too spicy but enough to warm you're insides and feel good it makes good nachoes and sometimes i want to try it as a base for a mac and cheese. It makes good for taco salads as well. WE love it very good. better then cheez whiz and not as salty as that is and too salty can ruin a dish for me. this is just right. .

I was dubious reading the rave reviews. But boy were they correct! It is tasty and easy to dip. The bubble wrap protects the glass jar well, too, from being damaged during shipping. The only thing is that it isn't spicy enough for me. I finely chop a fresh jalapeno pepper to add to the dip. Now it's a truly spicy cheesy dip for Tostitos Hint of Lime chips.

I get this when it's on sale (whatever brand, if it's decent) and use it to dress up steamed veggies. I often put a little smoked paprika on it, really brightens it up, and put chopped scallions or whatever on it to serve. Also good as a base for (chicken) corn chowder, a can of this, some canned corn with the liquid, a can of Ro-Tel chili tomatoes (or equiv) and some chicken broth, and you have a kind of Tex-Mex corn chowder. You can add chopped chicken breast late in the cooking. My son really likes this. Because of how it's made, it stays creamy and doesn't separate much if you don't add too much (or any, depending on how you throw it together) broth. If you want to add more fresh veggies like more onion or jalapeno, cook the veggies in the corn liquid and some broth first though, then toss in the cheese sauce and so on after they're soft. Still pretty fast and good, and kids (including my 26yo "kid") are pretty happy with it. I've also folded it into muffin/cornbread sorts of recipes or polenta, in the past. Or, to dip veggies in while watching a movies. It's sort of processed food junk, but sometimes that's exactly what you want, and it's shelf stable cheese "food." But it's just not something to get because it's good for you, lol... I used to put it on pasta -- it's good for that too -- but I'm diabetic/low carb these days.

Whenever I don’t feel like making queso myself, We reach for this. It’s quick, and simple but packs a lot of flavor. My only problem with it is the price, I get that it’s cheese sauce but I can make it for cheaper and not feel completely guilty about eating queso. But it’s worth it for the convenience of it.

There was absolutely nothing I could do to stop eating this dip. Even when I was full I just kept eating this delicious cheese dip. If you're on a tight diet, don't even tempt yourself with this in your house. But if you were good this week and deserve a treat, then this will be the best thing you've eaten in a very long time.

Since I don't usually buy a lot of this sort of product, I really didn't know what to expect from this brand. But I'm very glad with everything about this amazing product from a fantastic brand. I can't say enough good things about this item from Tostitos. I completely loved a lot or all of this product. It was just wonderful. Such a great flavor and high-quality presentation made for a fantastic experience. Thanks!

Makes a delicious snack for dipping of tortilla chips and can be served cold, room temperature, or warm. What could be easier? It's good to keep a jar of this Salsa Con Queso and the regular salsa in the pantry, as either could be eaten with chips, on top of tacos, or added to homemade or canned chili to create a tasty snack or dip!
