Captivating Connections 😍
Alexandra is a heart-hardened FMC after being made to feel like a burden all her life throughout foster care and then at her school 😞 her only solace is the works she sinks into when she writes! And a massive part of that world is her monsters and soulmates…she hides in her world soaking up the connection they give her because she’s lonely in the real world! That is until her monsters appear to her without her writing and outside of her dreams….Alexandra realise she might just not be human - and that’s everything she hopes she would be 😃She finds herself at Dark Imaginaram where she hopes to discover what she is, as well as what her monsters are and how they came to be 😳Now her monsters are her soulmates, Lucien the devoted yet impulsive hothead, Kylo the broody yet protective lead and Elwin quiet comforting yet full of surprises 😍 the book really focuses on their bonds to Alexandra and what they will do for her 🥰Cameos from other characters in this world pop up but there’s one in particular that really helps Alex begin to open up to the world ☺️A really what is she mystery woven between a tale of instant love! Can’t wait for the next one especially after that little info bomb at the end!!

Completely captivating
Omg how have I not been apart of this world yet, I love love loved this book and the characters and I seriously can't want for the second one. The story is not what you expect from reading the first chapter but this book completely captivates you into reading more that you just don't want to put it down. 100percent a book you want on your reading list 🖤

A great start to a new series
What an interesting read this book was! I would put this at a solid 4.5, I can see this series getting even better as it goes along as well. RL Caulder is a fantastic author that weaves an amazing tale and makes the fiction feel so real. You can lose yourself in her stories and this one is no exception.Alex has been passed around from foster home to foster home and has never gotten the love or support she craved. Once she turned eighteen though, that was it. She was on her own and only got by due to a scholarship for school. She was always the loner and didn't have any real friends, but she didn't mind too much, she just made her own friends. Over the years Alex would turn to her notebook for comfort and she would find her friends Lucien, Kylo, and Elwin willing to give it to her. Until one day, it was fiction anymore- her friends, the monsters she cared for, were real and in her world. What could possibly go wrong?I loved the originality of the story. It is really cool how Alex created these characters and they turned out real- I mean how many of us wish that that would happen to us!? I really want to find out more about the four of them, because yes- there is something up with Alex. The details were intense andrealistic to the point that you could see it all happening as it went. The character and world-building are in top form in this book as well. We get enough answers to whet our appetite but we are definitely left with more questions and a need for book 2.A very good book for fans of a darker-themed PNR PH, dealing with monsters and mean girls. It does take place in an academy but it is far from innocent here folks!

Can I just say AMAZINGThis book was so brilliant and all consuming, I couldn't put it down when I started and am eagerly awaiting the next in this series, I love all the pop ups from other characters from this world especially Deva.Alexandra is one of my most loved FMC she's just the right combo so sweet and sassy with that perfect add of bad A$$.Her guys are just perfect with how there only soft for her and otherwise crazy. Thus book was amazing and definitely in my top 10 of this year so far.

Great book
I adore this world of the Dark Imaginarium Academy, so many unique FMCs and hot, possessive males. Alexandra’s story fits in so well, i cant wait for more. Watch out for the end!

Wattpad-esque
This felt somewhat juvenile and simplistic. The characters were all quite 2 dimensional and nothing really happens at all in this book.It was entertaining enough for a simple read that killed a few hours.I certainly would not pay for this. There are a lot of spelling and grammatical errors which annoys me greatly if you're selling your work.

Fantastically Interwoven
I’m really loving that R.L Caulder and M. Sinclair are interweaving their stories in this shared world. It’s definitely a fantastic way of making this world building so much bigger and more descriptive across multiple books. Monsters Within is book one in the Creatures we Crave series and I love the mystery involved in this book. There’s so many questions especially surrounding our FMC Alexandra as to who, and what she is and how her monsters she’s created literally came to life. This starts a little slower which actually reflects M. Sinclair’s book based in the world I’m now wondering if this was done intentionally because dang you really do feel things speed up. Really looking forward to seeing what’s coming next!
