Effective Front Light for Dark Rides
This is well sealed against moisture. I would recommend it for 500 lumens in its price range. Its lumen light tests show steady light output even as the battery drains, so this is a solid brand I would buy again from. In its price range, I think it's tops. I would have preferred a 1000 lumen light, but it's hard to plunk down money for expensive cycling electronics until I've tested the brand. There's too much chinese knock off stuff on Amazon to sift through. Cats Eye seems good so far.

Easy to light up the night
This light offers a ton of light with multiple options (low flashes, bright flashes, low light, super bright). The beam is nice and wide. You don't have to charge it that often.

Good light with good battery life.
I’m not planning on using it at night so the balance of brightness and battery life is good for me. The narrow, rubbery mounting system seems a little unstable, but it is not going to fall off.

Great value for a decent light for commuting
I commute with my bike and got this light for the winter seasons when daylight is running short. It's great for the money and I found the flash mode between high and low beam to be perfect for me. The road I ride is typically well illuminated with a few dark sections. I am able to see road debries, potholes, and glasses with the light. The mounting is pretty secure and seems to hold the angle well even when the road gets bumpy. I rode through drizzles a few time without any problem, but probably won't try it in heavier rains.

Long life
So far since I charged it originally about 2 months ago, I have not had to recharge the battery. I only use the commuter flashing pattern which is supposed to have about 120 hour lifespan. This light has been reflecting off signs at what seem about 100 feet away and I feel has made me more visible than the light I was using previously. Great light so far and I attached and detach it from my bars daily and the system has not shown any sign of wear yet.

Major design flaws
My mistake was not looking at the design . My second mistake was buying two .Its essentially held on the handlebars by two thick rubber bands . Which didn’t even last two months before they separated. Making both light useless. It’s a great light. Unfortunately I can use it . I tried other ways of attaching them. Useless. Just a poor poor design from a company I trusted .

Mounting strap weak
I purchased a cat eye volt 400 some time ago. The mounting rubber strap broke. I thought it was a fluke. So, ordered a cat eye 500 to replace it. I use the light 4-5 times a week as I ride before work. I've been impressed with the function of the light itself. Bright and has a decent life after a full charge. However, this morning I went out for a ride and once again went to mount the light and the strap broke again. I'm using the light on a Giant Defy 2 and the handle bars are no thicker than standard bars. I've looked online and can't find a replacement, tried to contact the manufacturer with no response. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a light. Especially if the light is going to be used frequently.

Great light.
I use it to be seen during daylight hours, so I can't say much as far as the light output goes, but it has been a great light so far. I've taken it on three rides of at least 90 minutes, and several shorter rides as well, and haven't lost power yet. I just want to run it down once before I recharge it. It has four modes to help you see and be seen easier also. Micro USB cord is included, and charges right from your computer or phone charger.

Surprisingly very bright!
Bought this light for my Boosted Rev scooter. For me riding in the suburbs this light is bright enough. The rubber strap held the light in place even when riding on a bumpy road. The seller was great shipped the item really fast.

Cumple
Cumple pero no es excelente, el modelo volt metálico tiene un led más brillante y que da una luz de mayor alcance con los mismos lumens.

Great light, but bad design.
Great light, but bad design. Too easy to move around when on handlebars. Also the rubber strap and hook is easy to lose or misplace. Now I have to Mickey mouse something to attach the light. I would not buy again.

I wanted to like it.
Great light, bad strap. The silicone strap does not hold it secure. It's mount is not at the center weight wise and the back always drops.Needs an actual clamp mount to be secure.CatEye needs to listen to it's engineers, or hire better ones as the case may be.
