Spider Farmer SmartG12 Hydroponics Growing System, 12 Pods Indoor Garden with 36W LED Grow Light Full-Spectrum, APP & WiFi Controlled, 6L Water Tank, Pump System, Automatic Timer

This hydroponic unit is very nicely designed and is extremely easy to clean. The pump provides good water circulation for nutrient mixing and root development. The unit also has a lot of included port covers for spacing out plants. I've been able to grow various lettuces and greens as well as more intense flowering plants like cucumber and tomatoes. It comes with a wifi feature that withstands power outages, meaning if the power goes out and comes back on it will pick up the settings and time where it left off no intervention needed!! I loved this unit so much I bought another one. If I ever need a third, I will be back again.

This is an exceppent hydroponics system with high performance. I was able to harvest lettuce just within 25 days. Many options to control light timings and brightness. 12-pods, 36 wattage lights, 15 inches height adjustment, easy to take out the bowl are a few pros to highlight. The only minor issue I noticed is that the pods are little loose. Not a bug deal though. Overall I like this system and I recommend it. In many cases, it is better than Aerogarden models which comes at the same price range. I have grown Radishes, Kale, and Lettuce, and all of them turned out excellent.

Update: 05/15/2023 I received the new model (2023) from Spider Farmer and the initial changes to the new model are promising. They lowest height is now around 8 inches to the last model of 11 inches. And the change to 36w for lighting is amazing! They did include 4 hole covers, which is a good start. However, I wish they would provide at least 6 to 8 hole covers. I usually only grow 1 to 3 pepper plants per unit. Algae can be a constant problem if you cannot get holes covered correctly. It's a good change and glad they are listening to feedback. Also, they got rid of the ventilation windows, which is a great change. I will give another update in a few months when my plants are mature. Product arrived well packaged. Very easy to assemble. However, the distance from the light to the base of the grow area, needs to be adjusted. It's a little tall to grow seedlings with such a weak light. Seedlings will "stretch" trying to reach the light and become weaker at the stem. The light should be higher wattage but, it works. This product doesn't come with nor, can you order hole covers. After contacting Spider Farmer about purchasing said covers, I was informed that they do not sell them and I should just do more frequent water changes and cleaning. I would rather have hole covers and not need to clean algae every week. Product does have a large water basin and looks very nice. I would order again if above changes were made.

I purchased two of these systems around New Year. First I had tried a much more expensive system that had the electronics integrated into the container wall and was able to refill itself. But the light must have been defective because everything sprouted and then nothing. It just sat there and din't grow any further. I got one of the Spider Farmers, used the water with the nutrient solution of the earlier system and rescued some of the plants (which started to grow just fine right away). As soon as I saw how great this system is, I got a second one. One is growing lettuce, the other has herbs. I've already harvested lots of basil, dill, chives and lettuce. I'm even using the lettuce and herbs for juicing because they grow faster than I can eat them. Awesome! What I like is that the container sits on top of the electronics (not integrated). So I can take the container off and wash it without having to watch out for any display/electronics. I did not use the food that came with it. I got some Spiderfarmer food plus a couple of products from Microlife Hydroponics. My plants grow like crazy so I think they like it. I saw one review giving it one star because the person couldn't set the time. I am a bit baffled by that because I had no trouble. You have to go into the settings. If you select herbs, it gives you 12 hours, if you select fruiting plants, it gives you 16 hours. And then it lets you set the starting time to 6 am if you want. I don't use the Wifi either because I can set everything in the system settings. I even had a power outage and all I had to do was set the clock again. It remembered all my other settings. Just check the settings if you have trouble. It's all there. Update June '25: One of the lights started to dim and flicker and customer service was wonderful. They were very responsive and immediately sent out an entire new unit!

Bought this for my wife for Christmas. Worked great for about 4 months, results were slower then we expected but product worked well. The unit suddenly stopped working after about 4 months and we contacted the company directly for support. We got the most basic, automated suggestions for addressing / troubleshooting like plug out, plug in 🤦‍♂️. After that, they said that someone from Amazon would assist. There has been zero assistance since. Very disappointed with follow up support, and the unit is sitting with nothing in it on our kitchen counter. Very disappointing, really hope they either send us a new unit, or give us our money back.

I am so excited to try growing fresh herb for my kitchen with this! The design is compact so it can fit on a shelf anywhere, yet seems like it will provide lots of room to grow a good variety since it has 12 holes. It is super easy to set up, and I love that the height of the light is adjustable so that my plants won’t get leggy or end up running out of room. It has different options to use depending on what kind of plant you’re growing, and four different automatic timer settings. It seems like it will be easy to use and customizable! It runs quietly, and the pump turns off and on periodically so you don’t have to hear it all the time.

I've gone through two units in 5 months because the light keeps failing and the customer service at spider farmer sucks because their amazon support team NEVER responds. They just get me to purchased a new unit and then return the defective one to amazon so it just fails the same. Even better they double the price to recover the costs of this meanwhile they still sell it for $100 on their site. Total waste of money and ZERO customer service. I think they got to involved in the cannabis industry and started phoning it in.

Aussitôt branché, j'ai entendu un bruit strident provenant du filage de la lumière. Insupportable pour moi, je l'ai donc immédiatement retourné. Je mets un 3 car je ne l'ai pas essayé plus que ça et je ne peux pas commenter la pompe ni le programme.
