I never want Kathryn to stop writing in this Sweetverse!
2022 Audiobook Review:I loved this audiobook from the Sweetverse! Lola is still my favorite but Eve definitely grew on me (was tough to connect with her in the beginning though) and her dynamic was really intriguing with this pack. I enjoyed Eve's unpredictability (yet frustrated with her decisions in the first 1/3 of the book haha) and loved the guys in the pack and not getting them right when we first meet them in terms of what they would be to Eve. I love Rory's twist, I really loved how she opened up to Jamie, and was so happy with Garrett's verse and how he always looked to Eve to make sure she was good but also had a backbone when it came to her. I loved how the main focus was Adam but Eve ended up bonding the pack and holding them together. The ending was super cute too with her influence and how they all grow up/became a tight-knit pack, but won't ruin it :)In terms of the narration I thought the 3 did a great job. I love Troy's voice, so happy to hear him. It did make my head spin a bit because he voiced Rory and he did a great job for another author (Steel Demons MC) with a character with the same name hahaha. and the authors are besties so it made me have to do a couple rewinds because my brain was getting confused haha. First thing listening to the other male and thought he did a good job with the less gruff voices. And the woman narrator did a fab job, she reminded me of another narrator but in a good way. I thought they did a great job with the emotions, the purrs, the tension and posturing between the alphas, the bond descriptions, etc. I think one thing that irked me a little was Jamie sometimes had an accent but other times he didnt. I loved the accent done, but it wasn't consistent. Overall will be listening to them all again in the future, if you loved the other audiobooks in this series, get this one too! You won't be disappointed.Original 2021 ebook review:At some point I am going to have a full bookshelf just of Kathryn Moon stories, because she is now and forever will be a on-click author for me. I can't express how much I love this Sweetverse, how it has helped me during this pandemic with easily escaping into this amazing world. If you read my other reviews in this world, I usually get so sucked in I try and read during my work day as little rewards for myself, to whittle down my to-do list haha. Kathryn does an amazing job again and I cannot wait for more in this world from her and also Lana. Now I will preface this that Lola still takes the top spot in my eyes, her story is one of my top 5 of all time and Kathryn does a great job trying to catch that here. I think there was a lot more angst in this book than her others and I thought it was great and sometimes frustrating because of the STRONG personality of Eve and the way things developed. Don't get me wrong, I loved it, but she was a tough FMC to instantly fall in love with (which made sense with her story). Sometimes you are like ooooh she is a BA and sometimes you just want to shake her and give her a little wake-up call. It shows Kathryn can provide us so many different kinds of FMC. Lola had trauma to get over and was very vulnerable. Baby was reluctant with her pack and their dynamics because she wasn't expecting to be an omega. And Eve has had to be tough as an alpha and what she does as a profession haha. I think she was the most complicated, like an onion with many layers haha.Overall, easily a 4.5/5. I am not going to ruin anything in this story because I loved going in blind. I refused to read any reviews, teasers, etc. ahead of time because I wanted to have genuine reactions (you only get to read a story once once and I didnt want it skewed). Let's just say Kathryn does a fabulous job again with making us fall for more than one of the love interests, so much so it's always impossible to pick a favorite. I loved the connections with the Sweetverse other characters and the crumbs left for additional stories.I will be getting this in paperback and will be purchasing it on audio as well (I can't wait for Baby and Lola's audiobooks too). You will not be disappointed by this standalone story in the connected world, be ready for a lot of action and relationship development ❤️❤️❤️

Long but worth it
3.5 Eve is a tried and true bad azz and getting her story was a treat. It was almost ridiculously long, but I appreciate the author taking the time to really flesh out Eve's arc, and to develop the individual pack bonds. I found the villain choice fresh and interesting, but the confrontation a bit anticlimactic.

Very good series
I have loved all of Kathryn’s books. This one was very different from her other books. Eve was angsty. Her character had some abrasion which was atypical compared to her other books in the series, and I enjoyed watching her grow and develop. Looking forward to more of Eve, Adam, Rory, Garrett, and Jamie’s story. 🔥🔥🔥🔥.4/5

Amazing book
This book was unexpected in the best way. It was uniquely different than most omegaverses I've ever read and brought some fun and unexpected twists to it!! Eve is not your ordinary alpha, and Adam was a fun, unexpected omega. Then you have the rest of the pack, Rory, Garrett, and Jamie, who are all different and bring their own personality into the book that kept me engaged the whole book!! 10/10 would recommend

I finished it...
I have a plethora of very mixed feelings about this book. Don’t get me wrong, I have a ton of pages highlighted, and the steam was great. But there were several things I really struggled with. Number one being that I couldn’t for the life of me decide if I even liked any of these characters. I ended up liking Rory a lot, Jamie pretty well, and Adam and Garrett a little. I pretty much hated Eve. For me, we didn’t NEARLY enough of her backstory. A couple things were mentioned or alluded to, but I definitely needed way more to endear her to me, to understand why she’s vicious and standoffish. Instead, I couldn’t empathize with her and found her incessant need to be top dog utterly grating and annoying. Adam was a total waffle for me. I also hated the twist about the big bad- I read that part and basically rage-read to the end. The only other Sweetverse story I’ve read is Lola, and this book doesn’t hold a candle to those. This book is okay, and I really do love and adore Kathryn’s writing. I’m absolutely going to continue reading her- I own Baby and will totally finish out the Tempting Monsters world!

bad alpha
For me this was a book that really wasn’t my favorite, but I appreciated that it was written from a very unique perspective. It was a well written story and it was fresh. With that said I really didn’t feel any depth, or care for the characters. It wasn’t what I was looking for, but it was good in the general sense.

Great stand-alone
I don’t know what it is about Kathryn Moon, her writing and her stories always grab me and I can never put them down. This book was no different. I absolutely loved reading the different than normal omegaverse books dynamics with having a very strong female alpha bonding with a male omega and then meeting a pack who understands her.Eve was very closed off at times but she showed she cared in different ways, a lot of times through her actions (even if they were confusing or not exactly what was expected). I like seeing her begin to open up as the book went on and seeing her dynamics within the group change while still being herself. She did have that sarcastic, kind of deadpan or snarky humor when she did joke and it was pretty funny. Her and Adam were very opposite, yet the same in someways and I think they matched well together.Upon bringing in the men I think they all contributed something different in the pack for both Adam and Eve. I’m not sure how I felt about Garrett, I think he was good for Adam but he wasn’t really my favorite in the pack. I think he worked well for the dynamic but, meh. I did like the few interactions with them but I found the others more interesting.I would have loved to dive a bit deeper into Eve’s past, I think it would’ve been an amazing story. Maybe it’s in a novella or something later. I was waiting for the mystery to be solved at the end but it looks like we are getting another book to find out what happens with Faith and (hopefully) will get an update with this pack. This was a very engaging standalone. It was long but I feel like I still wanted to know more. Kathryn Moon has such a way of telling stories and I can’t wait for her next release.

More Enjoyable then the other reviews made it seem
This is actually my favourite in the sweetverse series. We have a cold alpha and you get to follow her every step of the way as she softens, but still manages to give her independence. She's everything you want from a FMC, she's the strongest and most deadly of her new found pack, and that doesn't just get swept under the rug.

5 stars
I'm a fan of Kathryn Moon and the only disappointment until now was all FMC's were more or less submissive. It annoyed me only a little because I liked the characters but I prefer dominant women. Often female alphas are second rate alphas. the love interest is still more dominant most of the time.In this book I needed some time to warm up to Adam and Eve and so did they. I liked the action, that Eve is a bad**s, the dynamic between Eve and the other alphas. It's not about who is the most dominant because they don't have the need to dominate her.I would like to read more romance like this.

If you love strong, dominant and slightly murdery FMCs & the guys that love them, this is for you.
Very dominant, sexy and murdery FMC.Equally kick ass, sexy, but not quite as murdery MMCs that ensure lots of explosive, hot as hell, steamy scenes.Highly recommend this story and all the Sweetverse books. 🥰

it had its moments
Okay overall i really enjoyed the book but there were little lulls throughout which made it hard to keep my attention honestly.I loved Eve she was not what I expected at all. I felt like the guys were missing something but I can’t put my finger on it haha
