I stacked gear, suitcases, coolers—you name it—and unloaded without a single scratch or paint chip. It really does what it promises. Size & Accessibility: It’s generously sized, covering the bumper area and a good portion of the trunk floor. When I open the trunk, I can reach in comfortably without it getting in the way. It folds away easily when not in use, and Velcro straps keep it neatly secured. Value for Money: For the quality and protection it provides, it’s a small price to pay. It saved me from expensive paint touch-ups or bumper replacements after heavy use—a smart, money-saving investment. Accessibility & Usability: No tools needed for install. It took me less than a minute to set up before a trip and just as quickly fold it away afterward. Even I can do it without fuss. Minor note: The edges could use a bit more padding for perfect coverage on very large SUVs, but for my sedan it was enough. Final verdict: If you transport gear frequently or take long road trips, this trunk protector is an essential. It performed flawlessly over 2000 km and saved my car from damage—absolutely recommended.

I bought these at the same time that I purchased a portable bike rack for my new Kia Sportage. They work great to protect the paint from the clips and front he straps where they cross the the back. I wish there was a way to hold the in place when I remove the rack. I've tried duct tape but it doesn't seem to stick.

Good quality and fitted well on the 4 larger hooks but harder to keep it fitted on the smaller 2 before actually putting them in place. But happy to have these as I feel they will do a good job of protecting the paint work.

It’s pretty straightforward … you have a bike rack and you’re worried about it scratching your car’s paint, right? So this seems like a great solution. In practice, though, I found the implementation to be problematic. Not that there’s anything wrong with the idea, it’s just fussy to use. Getting the pads installed so they stay put while you’re fussing with tightening the straps on your rack is a challenge. Plus, on my rack/car combo, one set of hooks (the ones that go out and hook to the side of the trunk) were too shallow and the gap between the trunk and car body too small to use. If you’re truly worried about your paint this will work, but be prepared to fuss around with the installation to get it right.

Didn’t want my bike rack scratching my brand new car and this was the perfect solution! Protects the 6 points where the metal buckle would touch the paint. Does not slip out of place.

These protectors are 1st class and I fully agree with those people that highly recommend these protection pads. I think it was worthwhile that I did first clean the area of the car that is under these protectors to ensure they had the best chance to do their job. On a clean surface, they almost adhere themselves to the car but leave no residue when they are removed. In my experience, the thickness was just right as all 6 of the hooks on my bike rack were able to work well with these pads and the car gaps. Check out the picture. My only suggestion to the manufacturer is that it would be helpful, if possible, to offer these as an optional longer length (2 to 3 times longer) of the same identical material. Again, please see the picture. Also, you may consider an option for them to be wider. or sell the material in sheets. Thanks for your consideration and a practical product.
