When I first got it I thought it would work on my computer even though the game is from 1996.Well, it took me three weeks to figure out how to get it to work on Vista but it was well worth it.I'd love to share how with anyone who needs to know.I have all the steps written out so how's I can play it.E-mail me for directions if you like.It's a great game.

I owned this game back in the 90's, but as I upgraded PC's and OS's, it became impossible to play it. I found this old favorite again on Amazon by seller davidjpeck. He sells this game and provides the DOS emulation software to install and run it under Windows 7. It's unfortunate that other buyers of this game did not buy from davidjpeck; they would have been able to enjoy their game now. All you fans of WOW, I don't have to sell you on the merits of this old classic. But if you want enjoy this 1990's classic, then buy Warcraft 2 from Amazon seller davidjpeck. You won't regret it!!

The seller left the description as vague as possible for the "Warcraft II : Tides of Darkness" product they were selling and did not mention in the title that it was only the instructions booklet, which does me no good. Even the FAQ's were regarding the hardware specifications for playing the actual game. Yet here I am, ecstatic when it arrived, only to be mocked by the black and white pages that stared back at me and laughed at my elation that has just been slaughtered within seconds.It arrived surprisingly swift, but I can't play the book. The only thing that gave way to the fact fact that it wasn't a disc was the dimensions, which I overlooked in my excitement to order. I included a picture of the product with a sticker conveniently placed on the back that still doesn't specify that it's a booklet and not the actual game.

Great game, but I see why this one isn't included in the modern BattleChests like Diablo is. This one is from an early generation, probably the worst thing is when building guys you cannot queue them up.Still, a fun game.

although I love this game so much, it wouldnt play on my new laptop. apparently it has somthing to do with a 32 bit verses a 64 bit. Im sure the disc would of worked fine if I was still using a windows 95. So bummed to becuase like I said this game is super super super fun! I want one that will play on my 2012 Dell laptop

Good product. Meets my needs. Great shape.Service was great, no delays. Recommend for those who are interested in this product and others they sell.

Getting the game to play on a newer device is a little difficult but not impossible. I'm so pleased that it's exactly how I remembered and in perfect condition.
