As to Kierkegaard's writings themselves,I am enjoying both the challenge to comprehension, and the astonishing degree to which I am in sympathy. I had to learn to not belabor each point when it became too intensely abstract for a man of relatively lesser intellect. Enlightening nevertheless. No one said being an existentialist is easy. Review: Wonderful Book - If you want a glimpse into the realm of existentialist and the precursors to other philosophies, such as absurdisim in Albert Camus, than look no further! Kierkegaard is a brilliant writer and this collection is well put together, including most of his essential works to give even the new-comer to philosophy a solid grasp on existential philosophy. Worth it!

The pages may be faded with the print small, but the content is excellent
I am not that far into the book, however I am getting the feeling that Soren Kiekegaard has some deep thoughts (the way I read it) in favor of Christianity. Although he wrote from the 1830's to the 1860's he seems to have some insights that are still useful.

So far not so good
Can’t even review the contents of this book yet. I worked for an independent publisher in ’98 as a younger man manufacturing books exactly like this and this would have never passed final inspection. I would have never sent out a book with this binding nor would the independent owner excepted it. I’m surprised this level of “quality” is excepted with a creased binding. Will it sustain years of manipulation and abuse? Maybe, but it’s just sad this is what people get for their money. I own books from the the 1800’s that have better binding than this. Pathetic really. Won’t feel too bad about giving it away after reading again, which was the plan anyway.

A Leap in Value
Since I didn't read Kirkegaard well as an undergraduate years ago; the anthology was an excellent starting point for a mature investment in existentialism. I am now embarked on a journey.

I like this book, because it offers a very wide view of the writings of Kierkegaard. Love it!!!

Interesting
Kierkegaard is probably the preeminent philosopher on God, religion, and faith. He can be hard to get through, in places, because he thinks in so many directions at once, but his vocabulary is clear and concise. I've only gotten through about half of this book, so far, and already have a mountain of ideas to ponder! This is a good work for any seeker to pick up.
