Abstract Algebra: A Comprehensive Introduction (Cambridge Mathematical Textbooks)

This is an excellent text for undergraduate algebra class in which the students are well prepared.The authors' writing is clear and concise throughout. Topics are presented using modern notation and terminology. The exercises range from routine to challenging.The chapter on group actions is particularly well written, and the application to the analysis of the Enigma machine is a wonderful cumulation of the chapter.
