Best saw ever!
Yeah it’s expensive but this is the second one ive owned and it really is the best saw period. The new blade design has a very thin kerf and cuts through all types of wood in half the time it took the previous blades. Highly recommended!

Accurate cuts, thin kerf makes it easy
Festool tools are expensive, but mostly because they have really really excellent dust collection. The FEQ model of their tracksaw has a notably thinner kerf than previous models, meaning that there is physically less material being removed, and really cuts through plywood, etc very quickly and smoothly. It'd be nicer if Festool had a package option to include the 55" track (the newer one that allows for it to be stored with the box handle), but you really can't go wrong buying this for longer rip cuts as well as accurate crosscuts. There's also a newer miter gauge from Festool that makes angled cuts a breeze, but is an additional expense. I've compared it to the highly rated Makita tracksaw, and while that is also a fantastic saw, the Festool cuts a little faster and smoother, but the price jump is significant.
