Poor quality of the plastic bowl
KitchenCraft Large Salad Spinner / Dresser, 25 cm (10") The quality of the plastic bowl is embarassing, it has broken in multiple parts only through normal use. It is a shame, as the rest of the spinner material is fairly decent...The product description suggests that " It comes with a 12 month guarantee": but how to obtain this guarantee? If this is true, I should have the broken bowl replaced or either money back, as I have bought this less than 6 months ago. Any suggestions?//UPDATED// I have requested a replacement which was promptly sent by the Amazon Return&Refund team – although it was not straightforward to find the option to ask for it. I am now handling the bowl with extreme care to avoid any rupture and except for this weakness the product is fairly decent.

My findings after using for 1 year
Useful to wash the salads and spin to dry them. I was dilemma with below questions, after using it for 1 year, I share my finding below. If you find them helpful, please click "Helpful" so that my answer stays on the top to help more people.a) Large or small spinner? The bowl is huge. If you take salad frequently, you will appreciate its huge size, I recommend to go for the large one. If you only take salad occasionally, I would not recommend a spinner at all (even a small size spinner) because it is indeed a large bowl and take your kitchen space.b) Is the spinner sturdy? The bowl is made of plastic. If you wash the salad in it, and lift with one hand while it is full with water, the bowl will break. The spinner is useless without its bowl. Go for the metal bowl if you can afford. Personally I can live with plastic bowl and be extra careful to lift the bowl when it is full of water.Thanks.

Useless. Avoid.
Great at first. Light usage - only me - and plastic bowl has split all the way down. Now it's completely useless. Avoid.

Entertain your salad with this handy salad carousel
I can confirm that my salad goes round and round with this item. I expect this is the primary purpose, so I can only say that I love it.

No more soggy veg
Good size basket; got 400g spinach in the basket no problem. Easy to put the lid on and snap down in place. (might be tough for someone with arthritis). Only took a few spins and the spinach was water-free. Silicone ring on the base keeps the whole thing in place. Can see that the basket could be very useful as a colander and the bowl to serve salad/fruit in. Nice touch to have a way of adding oil during the process too. Basket and bowl fit in the dishwasher. Took a mark off for sturdiness as I think the bowl could crack if mishandled; basket seems fine.UPDATE| uh-oh...spoke too soon. Despite handling it with great care, my bowl has cracked. I'd filled in one-third of the way up with water to wash some lettuce, picked the bowl up from the top with a hand on each side and I felt it go....a small crack about 5 cm long. Now what?

Great spinner...
I go through a lot of spinach and this spinner, which is fairly large, is just big enough to hold a full 200g family bag of spinach (as shown in photos) and does a first rate job of drying it. It’s got a grippy ring underneath to stop it slipping on the worksurface but you still have to hold it down with a hand on top to keep it in place otherwise it will wobble like crazy. That said, because of the gearing, it can spin at a very fast rate.

broke in les than a month
Had this less than a month and the outside bowl broke when I dropped it from about 2.5 ft when drying it, less if you say it hit the dog on the way down, so if that broke the fall you could say 14". What has happened to the solid plastic outer bowls that you could drop from the 20th floor and it wouldn't break? We certainly live in a throw-away society.

Easy to use
Only just received this spinner and have used it three times. It is relatively stable in use and spins well, much better than our previous one, you can get a good speed up. Works best if you spin at least twice, the second time after shooshling the leaves about in the basket.Leaves the salad reasonably dry which is the whole point of the kit, it is easy to use and clean, but only the bowl and basket can be put in the dishwasher top rack. All in all very pleased and good value for money. Only slight concern is how robust it is going to prove to be in the long run.I will update the review if there are any future developments.
