I enjoyed how the author used so many Italian words and yet each endearing use was quickly translated, so we learned the Italian! You felt the love and the conflicts these sisters endured! Love conquers all, and you felt the struggle and the close relationships these two sisters had

Loved this read for so many reasons. First it was a beautiful love story of family, friends, and soulmates. The author also seamlessly intersperses Italian culture, food and language with smooth English translations so you really get a feel for these characters and the struggles they endure. Brilliant historical context also gives a real sense from the main character Arabella what it must have been like in these times of changing roles and rights of women. Brava! Great novel I hope Kiki Przewlocki will follow with more great stories.

The writer enchanted me while painting a masterpiece of Southern Italy. I could taste the sumptuous cuisine, smell the fragrance of herbs, and drink in the beautiful scenery.The story travels with two sisters. They are complete opposites, but their strong bond of love is enlightening.I felt inspired by Arabella’s courage and trust in the divine.

Enchanting storytelling . . . Each night I eagerly immersed myself in Arabella's world, as I savored her story. Family, food, the circle of life, sisterly love, and yes, Spirit, above all. When the tale ended, I found myself wanting more - hopefully, there is a sequel - I have a feeling Arabella has more to share with us.

Great descriptions of sights, smells and tastes. Also family dynamics!
