Excellent Experience
DVD was exactly as described (very good condition). It actually looked like it had never been played. Not a scratch or blemish. Cost and shipping were very reasonable.

Funny to understand and laugh at ourselves. Good in-site I to how men think.

Don't Do it!
This came highly recommended to me by a friend, and I was very eager to hear his message. This video is a 2-hour session of a weekend couples-course. I was disappointed as I watched. Mark Gungor has great comedic timing, but his "bits" are not funny. He spends so much time trying to get a laugh from his studio-audience with his voices (a stereotypical shrill nasal scream for women, and a mouth-breathing sex manic for men) that you actually can't hear some of the words as they get lost in the delivery. There are no subtitles/closed captions to help you. The voices are pretty irritating so I wasn't interested in watching it multiple times. The only piece of information that was useful to me was men's brains are made up of little boxes, including a 'nothing box' where a man decompresses by not thinking about anything; and women's brains are a mess of wires that are all connected, which is why it's a challenge for many women to give short/straight answers because we are busy connecting all of the connections. This made total sense to me. However, this important nugget was provided in the first 30-minutes. The rest of the talk was advice like, wives can get their husbands to do anything by withholding sex. Sigh. His demeaning mocking of women shows that he clearly doesn't think much of women, which makes sense because he has two sons. He seems like a nice guy, and the date on this might not be in his favor. In fairness, this video was done in 2005, and we've made progress in respects to gender stereotypes (most men are not brainless mouth-breathing sex maniacs; and most women are not shrill manipulators). I wonder if this 2-hour piece in the context of an entire weekend seminar might make more sense. But, as a stand-alone talk, I think it is a waste of your time and money.

Review of Mark Gungor's "Tale of Two Brains" DVD
As a pastoral counselor, and sometime group leader for Young Couple's groups, I wanted to see this DVD. A couple I know recommended it, but I'd never heard of Mark or his work.I took the DVD with me when I visited with some younger friends in their mid to late 30's. We all enjoyed it very much. He is quite funny, & gets a lot of very good, insightful information across to couples, primarily, while they're laughing their heads off! He explains some things that many couples just don't understand are very real dynamics in most marriages, & he is magnificent in sharing the differences between men & women, in "most everything". I believe it would be a useful tool for groups, or if a couple wanted to get it for themselves.Usually, should you lend it to someone, you won't get it back right away. That's a good sign. They're sharing it with every one they know !

So ya I think its going to be fantastic. I didn't know I could get it on ...
My cd player is on the blitz I'll try and run it on another one. But I watched you on the Jim Baker show and I laughed so hard I was sore. So ya I think its going to be fantastic. I didn't know I could get it on Amazon or I'd have bought one before now. Thanks again when I tell especially women about it I always get a comical reaction. I'll try and tape it when I show it again in front of a bunch and send you the tape. Take care bob

Hilarious and eye opening
Since discovering this DVD, I have recommended it to all of my friends, even those in solid relationships, and have even purchased the single DVD version for others. Mark Gungor provides insightful information about men and women using humor to make the message more palatable. He does state at the beginning of the DVD that his comments are GENERALIZATIONS and that they do not apply to everyone, but, in my opinion, they apply to the majority. In my personal experience, in some cases, the roles are reversed, i.e. the male behavior he describes applies to the female in the relationship and visa versa.

somewhat educational, but limited by generalizations
The presentation was humorous and somewhat informative but disagree that marriage is like a business deal - a legal license for immorality instead of love (1 Cor 6:12-20). Love has to be the spiritual center of a marriage, and so first we need to marry the person God made for us (Matt 19:6, Mark 10:5, 9). Jacob worked 14 years to marry the love of his life, Rachel, whose "beautiful" eyes revealed a soul like Jacob's own (Gen 29). She did not need to trick him into loving her. Neither did Mary with Joseph. The material is quite generally focused on people enslaved to typical American middle class culture, instead of God, whose holy thoughts and feelings in our spirits are better than the culture.

A must get....REALLY!!
There is NO WAY you can watch this and NOT agree with the guy. He is a minister and if he had a church close to where I live I'd be sitting in the front seat. VERY down to earth, humorous, right on the money and makes you think and get a different prospective on things because afterall men and women DO NOT look at things the same!!!!Even if you are not religious, you will love this because its NOT a sermon type of discussion. I guarantee you will laugh!!!

Content superb, quality horrible...
Horrible quality of image, no subtittles (even for hearing impaired). Childish menu and navigation... Disapointment. But not in terms of content! Program it self is amazing. Every single minute of it.
