So far I have also steamed Swiss Chard, a portobello mushroom at the same time as fresh zucchini, fresh asparagus, frozen green beans, frozen pre-cooked shrimp to thaw, but I left them in the steamer too long and they became a bit chewy. Also the tails were too hot on my fingers to remove, so I dipped in cold water for a second. It was much better and quicker than putting the shrimp in a bowl with warm water. Maybe raw shrimp would work better. The strainer pot is large enough to spread out a few separste items and steam at the same time. Love this steamer. Can cook without worrying about a pot boiler over. It cuts down on having to wash multiple bowls and pots and veggies aren’t soggy from boiling. The 3 pieces are not heavy to lift. Easy to clean. I tried corn on the cob but it was taking too long so I dropped the cobs of corn into the lower pot of boiling water for a few minutes with some small potatoes. Very versatile cooking tool.
