The Carlisle turf tires on my JD 318 would spin ...
The Carlisle turf tires on my JD 318 would spin when I tried to back my boat in my garage. I replaced them with these Tru Power tires and have had no trouble moving my boat. These do not spin when backing the boat in the garage. I find it informative when reviews give specifics about a products performance so here are the specifics. My JD 318 has an 18 hp Vanguard engine. The driveway to my garage is compressed Class 5 gravel that slopes to the alley about 12 feet. Rain washed a small gulley in the drive at the alley so there is a "bump" that makes pushing the boat a challenge. My boat is an 18' Crestliner with 150 hp outboard and 8 hp kicker. It sits on a single axel trailer. Approximate weight weight of boat, motors and gear is 3500 lbs. The 318 has no problem moving the rig around with the Tru Powers. I couldn't get the boat in the garage with the 318 prior to changing the tires.

Buy these and you will get stuck
Man these things are amazing, this the 2nd set I bought. On the plower tractor it started to push, then it pushed some more then ti just kept pushing and wouldn't stop. it wont do 5 feet but I got a blower for that, that's why I spent the money on these tires. I used these tires to rip up all the weeds I had on the property so the little tractor could cut them up, It worked great. Now I bought a set for my blower to see what they will do, and im sure they will preform superbly I even bought a tire changing machine (rim clamp) .I did tires in a garage for 10 years so I know what im doing but these things are NASTY, they just get stuck, I wouldn't buy nothing else. Yeah there expensive, but buy once and get what you pay for.I will keep you updated. Thanks for reading, Jim in CtUpdate. these are nasty tires, they are strong powerful and don't stop. They laugh at snow and mud. I cant figure out how to write a new review but Ibought 6 more of them, that should say something.

Improvement over old turf tire
I installed these with essentially the same dimensions as the original 22x9.5-12 turf tires as part of transmission upgrade to Deere L130. The tractor now handles hills and loads much better, and part is noting that power to transferred to the ground better through the lugs of the Carlisle tires. In softer areas, I note some depression from the lugs but hard to detect after a couple weeks. With this new set-up, I was emboldened to start clearing the back field (tall grass, blackberries) and discovered a small bog. I powered through with a little slippage several times but finally found the spot soft enough that even the lugged tires ran out of grip. Not really blaming the tire, it was pretty slick. (I did finally drive out under my own power after getting a board under one side and rocking to unload the other.) The tires may not be invincible but do offer a noticeable improvement in traction over what I took off. I like them.

More traction than you can handle.
I've only had them for a week so far but they've already performed well above expectations. I own a 2014 Craftsman G5500 Garden Tractor and replaced the turf tires with these ags for getting around areas of my property where my turf tires left me stuck several times. These tires provided the traction I needed to go through the soft dirt and rock. In fact I would say there's almost too much traction as I'm starting to notice just how weak the frame is on my tractor because these tires want to just push it through anything.I've only mowed the lawn once with these and the tear up as been minimal as long as you keep the turns wide. I did notice a few dig spots where the tires tore into the grass on tight turns and the bottom of slopes. But my lawn isn't a golf course, it's far from perfect so I'm not bothered by 3-4 small digs while mowing over 2 acres of lawn.I took these tires to a tire shop to be mounted and it cost me a total of $20. $10 per tire. Waited 15 minutes and was good to go. The shop even put new valve stems in and inflated them to 20psi, the max for the tire. My only disappointment with the tire is that's it's about a 1/2" shorter in diameter than the turf tires. I was hoping they would be slightly larger than the tires I was replacing. But after reading several reviews the Tru Powers are the largest of 23x10.5x12 ag tires. Every other brand runs slightly smaller than the true size of the tire. My guess is so that it's easier on the frame of your vehicle when it clears out dirt between the lugs. Despite that small niggle I'm still satisfied with my purchase as these tires perform exactly as expected. They push my tractor through whatever I need it to go through.I also drive my tractor on about a mile of road to haul trash to a dumpster, They aren't ideal on road but the ride isn't overly rough. These tires have more lugs than conventional ag tires and that helps to smooth out the ride on pavement but there is still some minimal vibration.

my tractor is now a little tank!
Great tires! I bought these for my sears suburban 12. I replaced good turf tires with chains with these tires and boy they made a difference. Pulling a plow before was a real pain I would constantly spin and dig a hole I couldn't get out of. Now with these on, if the plow gets hung up and the tires do spin I lift the plow and it will crawl right out. I can do so much more now that I have good tires that I couldn't even think about doing with my old set. I just used the tractor pulling a trailer to string 5 acres of barbed wire fence through the woods in order to keep goats in. The tractor was unstoppable, I would crawl over rocks, run over small trees and down logs all while pulling a trailer with no hesitation. I was a little apprehensive about investing in the tires seeing I already had a good set with chains. Boy am I glad I did! These are a necessity if you need to get work done!!

Great price for OEM tires
These tires are exact replacements for the original that came on my PowerTrac four-wheel-drive tractor. I got them for a far far better price than they were available locally. The local tire place only charged me 20 bucks to remove the old tires from the rims, scrub the rust away from the inner rims and replace them with these new ones.ONE IMPORTANT CAVEAT! Be sure to get the right width. Doublecheck every single number on your old tires before you order because the same tire with the same first four numbers comes in three or four different widths.
