Good rat and bird repellent
I was having two pest problems in my back yard here in Southern California. Firstly, at night rats were climbing my tangerine trees and eating the fruit. I put a couple of these owl decoys at the base of the trees, and immediately the rat fruit raids came to a halt. Secondly, we have a lot of crows in my area and they love to go into my raised planters and pick through the mulch to get into the dirt and dig for grubs and worms leaving a mess. I placed a couple of the decoys where the planter mulch is and again the pest crows decided to leave my yard alone and dig somewhere else. I frequently re-position the decoys in order to keep the pests from feeling "safe" around them.

Nice Owls!
I have purchased these and the larger one also. Many complain the head doesn't move well and gets stuck backwards. Once I filled the body with sand they worked better plus I glued a nickel inside the head below the beak and now the head moves better and looks forward. These are nice and we now have no returning Woodpeckers!

Prevents birds from bombing my driveway
After 12 years living in the same house, the birds randomly decided to start obliterating our cars, day and night. OVERNIGHT the problem stopped with these little owl decoys. If you are trying to scare off some birds so they'll leave your driveway alone. These. Right here.

Cheaply made, but work alright...
Bought these a few weeks ago when we planted new grass. Mounted one and it worked perfect. The other was defective and the head would not swivel. Overall, it worked, but not great quality.

Works great!
I was having trouble with a Robin attacking my door. This went on for over a week. As soon as I placed this owl on my deck, it stopped.

Quality decoy, but didn’t work on crows
Well made, quality little owls. Easy to put pea gravel inside to weight down for roof. Unfortunately it did nothing to keep crows away. I believe they’re too small, but who knows. Worth a try, but it was a bust for me dealing with crows poking into my roof. Liked the little head ‘fin’ you can insert so the wind moves the head. Great eyes, too.

Did not work for us
Did not scare away any birds. We have three different windows that for some reason, every year when Mama Robin comes and tries to build a nest under the gutters on our house, the male sees his reflection in the windows and thinks it's another male and tries to fight it by flying into our window. He does this like 50 times a day, sometimes starting early in the morning and the sound of him hitting our window wakes us up. i've tried covering the windows on the outside with old tablecloths, covering them with aluminum foil, but this little guy is determined. I bought the owls to put on the railing where he lands and he just lands on the railing a couple feet from the owl, not deterred at all. so I still have a robin hitting our window all day long. Eventually, they stop when nesting season is over, but for about two months, it's pretty intense.

Well made but did not keep birds away
I got these in hopes it'd keep birds from nesting in our retractable awning this year since nothing seems to work. They are well made and function just fine, but our birds are apparently too smart so they did not work
