Stopped working
I initially loved this machine!! I’m a HUGE proponent of homemade everything, controlling ingredients, etc. This machine was so handy and simple-I made various nut milks (only) approx. 2-3x/week, as needed, in 1 cup increments to add to our coffee or smoothies. Nothing fancy, and used as instructed. I immediately cleaned it out each time, per instructed. I’ve had this machine for 4 months. Recently, I began a new cycle to make a 1 cup serving of cashew milk. The machine programmed and started as usual, but suddenly, after 30 seconds or so, shut down completely. I have tried everything and cannot get it to turn back on. I immediately troubleshooted first, then contacted the help email at Nutr. It has now been a couple weeks and I’ve had to re-email them (no phone number of any kind anywhere on the website!!) multiple times to no avail. They have not responded to any of my emails. I’m super frustrated that this machine stopped working after only 4 months of low to moderate use!! For what I paid for this (at the time), upwards of $170…this should never have happened. And if it did, the company should at least be accessible to help resolve it. I miss my nut milk maker so badly but refuse to pay for another one until I can get some resolution with Nutr.Update: Oct 23, 2023:After waiting a few weeks, I finally heard back from customer service. It was much too long for a response, but I'm glad they finally did, and were very helpful with guiding me through a claims process. I had to go back and forth a few times, sending a video to show how the machine had malfunctioned, as well as all of my purchase information, which is standard procedure. Once I did all of that, they were able to submit a claim and replace my Nutr machine with a new one. I'm hopeful that it will continue to work as well as my previous one prior to shutting down. Fingers crossed. But overall, I'm happy they stepped up and took care of the issue for me.

poor customer service from manufacturer. and poorly made.
I received this product on 11/28/2022. went thru all the oat milk i had purchased before starting to use it. At first I was enamored with it. it made great oat milk and almond milk under room temp and warm settings. I tried to use it with the Hot setting so I can pour almond milk directly to oats for breakfast and that is when it went downhill as It started to smell like something was burning. After that, the next day, I made my latte and the setting I used warm setting. It was burning hot and the NUTR shot down and overheated. So I reached out to customer service for NUTR and they replied to allow 2-4 days for response. I am still waiting for them to reach out and it has been over a week. I tried to give the machine another chance and tried the room temp option once again since it required no heating and it completely died.

Small but mighty!
This is a powerful and extremely useful machine. It makes very little pulp or Okara meaning most of the nutrients are in the end product that we consume. The options are only limited by our imagination and the amount of ingredients you have on hand. However it only has the capacity to make one to two cups at a time and if pushed it will overflow so you have to be careful. Even plain water can bubble and spill out of the pour spout if filled to the max line.It seems to function best if I place the lid on last which gives an E2 reading and beeps because it will not start without the lid being on. At that point you can gently tap the entire button to toggle through the menu options. Once the setting that you want blinks you stop pressing the button and it starts within a few seconds. That being said, I am still thrilled with the purchase even in lieu of its 8 to 12 ounce capacity and quirky start. It’s made for small batches of delicious healthy plant milk and can also double as a latte machine because the milk comes out frothy and creamy. It does the work of a powerful blender with the benefit of reaching a very high temperature, 212 degrees Fahrenheit.

It's a compact mylk maker!
Making almond milk from this machine ended up being more work than I anticipated, but it hasn't stopped me from using it. I have made almond, cashew, oat, and barley milk so far and all have come out very tasty. My favorite has been 1.5 cups of water with 4 Tbs almond, 1 Tbs cashew, 1 date, and a dash of salt. So yummy!Capacity: It can make up to 1.5 cups at one time and instructions limit to 2 cycles at a time before rest is required (I think it is 1 hour rest).Power: When making almond milk, I have found some bigger pieces in the machine that I'm sure would not be there with a more powerful machine (that also costs much more).Noise: It's a bit noisy, but it's blending something relatively hard so my guess is that other products are of a similar noise level.Filter: The filter provided does not produce smooth milk if making almond milk. If you filter it twice as others have mentioned, I don't feel it would make much of a difference. The holes in the filter are just too large to get all the 'grit' out. If you want smooth milk you should get a nut milk bag. I found that the filter provided works fine for oat and cashew milk as the nuts grind up better.Cleaning: You cannot take this machine apart at all to clean and the machine 'forbids' you to get the bottom wet. However, I have found it relatively easy to clean if I rinse it out right after use. I do not add anything else to my milk other than nuts/oats/grains and dates. So if you are using something like honey or powders, it may be a bit more difficult to clean? There is a cleaning mode that will self clean with the addition of soap and water.Ultimately, I'm happy with this machine for the cost and size and happy that I am making my own mylk!
