My 10 month and 4 year old love this crab

It says it's for 1 year olds + but on the box it says not for children under 3 years old....And it walks side ways pretty fast too fast for a crawling baby the sensors work very well and it's loud.. Has no volume control or a speed setting so just 4 stars would have been less but it's a cute looking toy...

This toy is BRILLIANT.Keeps the children entertained and the constant moving and loud sounds keeps them intrigued.It is such a great idea to helpPromote crawling and the sensors are perfect.I think it’s suitable for younger children too as it says 1-8. However I hope to think an 8 year old isn’t crawling a crab around😂

The toy itself is visually appealing, with its vibrant orange color and cute crab design, making it quite engaging for curious little ones.The crawling feature of the toy is quite captivating for babies aged 6 months and up. It encourages them to follow and reach out, enhancing their motor skills and hand-eye coordination. The movement is smooth and not too fast, making it perfect for babies who are just starting to crawl.However, here comes the unexpected twist - the song that accompanies the crab’s movement. While I assume the intention was to make it engaging and entertaining, I found the song to be rather creepy, and more importantly, my baby seemed to feel the same way. The song has an eerie tune that didn’t sit well with my little one, and it seemed to actually scare him instead of making him excited. It’s worth noting that not all babies might react this way, but it’s definitely something to be cautious about, especially if your child is sensitive to certain sounds.On the positive side, the toy is well-built and seems durable, which is crucial for something that’s likely to be dropped and handled by curious toddlers. The crawling motion and bright colors kept my baby engaged for a good amount of time, but unfortunately, we had to turn off the sound to prevent any further distress.In conclusion, the Crawling Crab Toy has potential to be a great addition to your baby’s playtime routine, with its interactive crawling feature and eye-catching design. However, if you’re sensitive to creepy or unsettling sounds, or if your baby tends to get scared easily, you might want to think twice about this toy due to its song.
