Upgraded my cheap PC I bought from Walmart years ago for just streaming purposes (encoding n such, not for gaming), n I've just been using my APU to encode my streams and after putting this GPU in my machine I must admit that I'm nothing but impressed by its performance!! Sleek, quiet, and NVENC enriched for all my streaming needs!! Excellent product!! Haven't tried it out for gaming yet but I will definitely do a future review when I get around to it. As far as encoding streams and helping optimize my PCs performance, aswell as taking stress off my CPU/APU combo, this bad boy gets the job done for a great price!!

Got it to run Steam games on my computer. Worked with minimal struggle on my Ubuntu 19.x machine with an i7-4790k Intel Board (also msi, got this hoping for a shred of added manufacturer compatibility). Just had to figure out getting drivers installed and flying colors. For the price point it plays everything I've wanted it to with very little lag. Word to the wise: install the drivers before you install the card, it blanked my screen at first, but once drivers were settled, it booted right back up, and works as good as the on-board (plus obvious performance bump). Even handles my weird three monitor setup, including an A/B HDMI switch that I use to swap output between my one desk monitor and living room TV fairly well. When I upgraded my distro, I had to pull it off the board and turn the drivers back on, and will likely continue to have to do that, because the blank screen boot happened again, but hey...that's the kind of quirk I'd expect from unsupported hardware.
