A welcome, comprehensive study on the Miracle Molecule.
Great, potentially life-saving information about Melatonin; information often suppressed by the media, medical and big pharma industries. This book is a must read for anyone with certain health issues, or who simply wants to avoid them and maintain a healthy lifestyle. The author really did his homework, taking over a year and a half to research and write this publication. Nothing is left to chance, opinion or conjecture: everything is well documented with hundreds of references to study after study. All the information is out there if the medical industry would just open their eyes instead of simply writing out another drug prescription to "mask" a symptom. Doctors rarely spend the appropriate time needed to get to the root cause of a problem. I was tempted to take one star off of my rating due to a lot of typos and grammatical issues. I would suggest an updated version that incorporates a good copy editor in the future. (On a personal note, I grew up in Sarasota and if I ever decided to move back, I would definitely see about becoming one of Dr John's patients.)

Detailed Yet Lay Friendly
Thank you so much for writing this book. It’s been in my queue, but just recently picked it up and read it coverd to finish. I found transdermal melatonin to be life-changing and have been using that approach for almost 2 years. This book corroborated my personal experience and help me to better understand the importance of melatonin and its impact on my health Data and lots of published references provided also give me a sense of comfort using melatonin safely and long-term.

Brilliantly Written!
I appreciate Dr. John's way of explaining the complexities of the human body. I am only halfway through and have learned a significant amount about the workings of our human body and what causes disease.Duality exists in every aspect of our existence, as we live in a binary world. Dr John's explanation of the Mammalian Target of Rapamycin (mTOR) balances between two processes: the growth of new cells and the recycling of old cells is brilliant.This book is perfect for anyone who seeks to understand the Goldilocks zone in managing our bodies to function like well-tuned machinery. Dr John is a great communicator who weaves words to demonstrate how Melatonin can be a one-stop shop for maintaining mitochondrial health.

This book is bigger than melatonin
I rarely write reviews, but this book is important, one that should be read and used as a reference guide for anyone interested in human health.Yes, the book is about melatonin, but you quickly realize that because of the wide range of roles that melatonin plays, you're learning (or relearning) about dozens of interwoven mechanisms. Interested in gut health? You need to read this book. Interested in immunity, viruses and infections? You need to read this book. Looking for solutions with mental health, neurological regeneration, better cardiovascular and hormonal health? No joke, you need to read this book on the role that melatonin plays.Last note: John writes in a very clear style that doesn't assume the reader has a biochemical background. A lot of thought went into the layout and hierarchy of each subject, which makes it compelling reading. I've already purchased 2 copies for health practitioner friends.

Good information, but not well written.
This book has a lot of good information, but it is not very well written, and there are quite a few typos. Also, I wish there was a dosing protocol for different diseases.

The definitive guide to melatonin
I've learned a ton from John Lieurance when it comes to melatonin, which is MUCH more than just a "sleep hormone". His book is well organized and an amazing resource on the topic. Great addition to the library of any fellow health geek! :)

I had no idea you could write a whole book on melatonin. Was attracted to it as have cancer and works well with chemo and without but my so great for other stuff besides sleep
