If you microwave cat food to heat it up a bit - it destroys all taurine (not using microwave anymore). It does make it a lot quicker and smoother for them to go through the sickness. Cats don't mind having this supplement added to their food from time to time. Female cat is picky sometimes... But she's generally picky and suspicious about anything new/different in her food. I took her to the vet to check for fleas or anything and they couldn’t find anything. They only said that she had extremely sensitive skin and could have allergies to fabric. After trying everything else I bought this supplement. My cat used to hide under my bed 20 hours of the day and was scared of everything. Now, she nuzzles, snuggles, loves pets, and is overall comfortable in her skin. Her fur has improved in fullness, texture, and shine, but it is still the attitude change I am most impressed with. I pre-mix the Mazuri with the ground meat at .005% of wet weight, and sprinkle the appropriate adult cat dose of Missing Link on her food once a day. She thinks its a treat. Two supplements, whole chicken, that is all. This recommendation came from her breeder,and her vet says she is extremely healthy. There are tons of raw food recipes out there that would have you add vegetables and lots of expensive supplements, but in the wild cats only eat the plant life that was already in their meal, and I think that Missing Link's use of ground and freeze dried simple ingredients is as close to that process as I might hope for without taking my cat out to hunt :) **Q: How many servings in a pouch?** A: It depends on the animal's size. I have two male cats, and the pouch lasts about five weeks. **Q: Does this product have a high protein or phosphorous content? I take half a can of her favorite wet food and add an equal amount of hot water. Then I stir in 1/2 a tsp thoroughly. I call it "cat soup" and she gulps it up. I started with a 1/4 tsp and gradually added more.
