Gigabyte Radeon RX 550 D5 2GB Graphic Cards GV-RX550D5-2GD

I recently built a low-end gaming PC for my significant other as a way to introduce her to my passions: namely tinkering with electronics and playing video games. In order to keep the overall price down (I'm talking less than $300 all-in), I had to be very scrupulous in my search for a graphics card. Between two Nvidia products (GT 1030 and GTX 1050), this card won because of its excellent performance-to-price ratio. While less expensive and powerful than the GTX 1050, the difference in performance is immaterial for this computer. The card was easy to install (though slightly on the "large" side for a Micro ATX form factor motherboard) and doesn't require any dedicated power from the PSU; it is quite literally plug-and-play. After downloading the most recent drivers (and bloatware) from AMD, the card ran just fine on the new Windows 10 box. Each game I cared to test ran just fine (obviously the newer, more demanding games required some down-tuning) and there was literally no hiccups throughout the whole process.Having built many gaming machines, I highly recommend this card for anyone looking to build a budget machine. Obviously you sacrifice performance in comparison to Nvidia's high-end products, but for what you would pay for this card I don't see a better value proposition on the market.

Nice budget v/c but it doesn't have a low end feel at all.I'd been using on board graphics after my Powercolor R9 270 v/c fritzed out last year.Intel's on-board graphics was good enough for most of things I do but the purchase of a 28" UHD monitor changed that.I could get 2160p but only at 24Hz on HDMI. Display port I could get 2160p at 60Hz but with quite a bit of stutter.That changed with the install of this card. Display port 1.2 (what the monitor uses) gives a great crisp 2160p 60Hz picture with absolutely no stutter. The v/c supports Display port 1.4 protocol, it comes with HDMI 4K60 support and Dual Link DVI.There is no need for a 6 pin or 8 pin power adapter as the v/c uses the motherboard power thru the PCI-E slot (65W). The v/c is incredibly quiet.I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Card was purchased for use in an aging HTPC and while it fits in my larger case snugly it will certainly not fit in many smaller form factor cases at 4.51" wide. I've not used nor do I intend to use this for gaming but as a card to allow 4k output it has worked nicely and allows for 4k HEVC/HDR playback with madVR even tied with my rather anemic G530 CPU. Fan on the card also stays at a low speed and doesn't add additional noise to my particular system, however, the card does have some coil whine so if you're system is close to you that may be an issue to consider.I'd give the card itself a solid 4 stars for my usage needs but I'm only giving it 3 because of poor shipping decisions by Amazon. The card was shipped in the box, unpacked, without even any tape to hold the lid closed. The fact it made it through the USPS and to my door without falling out is a miracle.

This card is for casual usage, not gaming. Old card HD6670 surrounded 1/2" of monitor (32"TV") screen blank whereas this card used full screen. Big plus. It also play 60 fps videos with no glitches, blank screen then video then blank screen then video. Had to use install disk in lieu of online updated drivers so as not have gaming software installed. Installed at first and was impress by potential video adjustments, but went back to disk because TV monitor has same adjustments built in. Was kinda disappointed to find out is a passive card with fan that kicks in when very hot. Runs at 105º F with normal usage. Rather keep everything on computer under 100º F. Am thinking about using Speed Fan to change that. But if it isn't broken don't fix it (lol). If would have know what have bought the same card as passive and put a fan underneath it. Would give it a 5 by 5 if it weren't for the fan never kicking in on this machine.

I got this for my mom on mother's day to upgrade her ageing computer. She likes to play alot of hidden objet games and her old igpu that was built into her old Intel core 2 duo just wasn't working for it. I had already put in an SSD so it was plenty fast but just lacked the GPU needed to pull even some of the more basic games out today. So I installed this and a new evga psu, and a new 23 inch full HD hp monitor. She can now play all of her games and finally watch 1080p YouTube videos on her computer. I picked Amd because that's what I've run for years. The rx550 isn't a powerhouse by any means. But for someone like my parents that just want to keep their computer instead of buying a new computer every few years this and an SSD is the perfect way to bring their computer back to life.

When I was picking out my pc parts I wanted a card that could run my favorite games (mostly e-sports games like Overwatch, CS:GO, Dota,etc) at the mid-high settings without being over $100 as I was on quite a tight budget. This card did the job just perfectly and despite not being something like a RX 580 it still was a gigantic upgrade to the integrated graphics I've always used for many years. I paired this GPU with an AMD Athlon x4 860k (another budget CPU) and had no bottle necking issues what so ever. This $80 gives out waymore performance than I expected. I did a passmark benchmark and for the D3D benchmark it got 3868 (theres very little RX 550 benchmarks around, just saying).
