This item is very reasonably priced, easy to use, is easily installed and provides stability for narrow steps. The steps on our RV are 24” wide and this support helped directly above it, but did not support the sides of the step well. As a matter of fact, the support would fall over at times when we stepped to either side of it. Do not recommend this item for WIDE steps only.

I originally ordered one and after giving it more thought I added another one to use two and they arrived at the same time. I really think that they should just sell these in pairs because I don't think just using one is a good idea. I took the idea from another reviewer and attached them to a 2x6 so the spacing would be the same and would make it easier to set-up. The nice thing is that it really strengthens the bottom step, the downside for my set-up is that it did nothing to the downward force that comes from the next step to the actual trailer mounting. Our trailer is 18 years old and I am 210 lbs so I always feel that the stress is going to be a problem. I fixed that concern by added two screw jack stabilizers that extend up to the actual mount to the trailer. I happened to have two slide-out stabilizers from a previous trailer that worked perfectly. Now my steps are like stepping on concrete steps, no flex at all. And no stress on the trailer! This might be overkill but that is how I roll.

I like the adjustability and it makes the tv step solid no flex. Sizing is perfect to the specifications. If it came with a rubber pad on the ends it would be 5 stars. I added them.

Class A RV steps of 24 year old RV needed stability as attachment over time had worn to give steps shaking feeling. Adjustable screw and large flat top and bottom plate covers area so support doesn't move when step extended for camping site stay. This solved the problem of step sagging when deployed on 24 year old RV. Easy storage

Does exactly what it states it's used for. This is great for someone who is handicapped also - it keeps the camper sturdy when they are climbing in and out of the camper, no more shaking. However after a few hours if you have been in - out multiple times you may have to recenter it - it does move.

About what I expected, built sturdily although could use more holes in the base to mount 2 or more of them to a 2x4 or other material (as others have done). BUT one of the two received had obviously been used already (pretty hard use too -- very dirty with scratches and paint gouges on the metal probably from wrench usage; probably will rust where those are unless I re-spray paint it). Shame on Amazon for reselling something as "new" when it obviously had been used and then returned! Not really worth it to re-pack and return/exchange. Unfortunately this was probably the first bad experience I've had with a purchase from Amazon. Hope it doesn't happen again with another purchase...

Good for stabilizing RV steps so the whole trailer doesn’t shake.

Easy to store and set up. Reduces stress on the RV stairs. Never thought this would be an issue until bolts holding the stairs on our previous RV failed. Adjustable and made out of metal so should last a long time. Base is a little small so potential is there to enlarge the base size to increase stability but has not been an issue so far. Economical piece of insurance to avoid future repair bills.
