Bogati Economy Wooden Urn Box Temporary Container

The box is attractive, with nice grain patterns and I liked the stain color. Unfortunately, the length of the extra-large was just slightly too small to fit the plastic container from the mortuary, but the contents by themselves fit in just fine. Like others have had happen, one corner was slightly smashed and there was a nick in one of the top edges. I put in a little filler and some stain and they are hardly noticeable. The wood box was inside of a cardboard box which was inside of another cardboard box surrounded by bubble wrap, so the dings may occur during packaging. Overall a nice box for the money.

The one I received was heavily damaged and scratched before being packaged. There was no damage to the packaging so this was clearly a return – someone decided a beaten up box would be good enough to sell at full price. Needed hours of work just to look "repaired." Should have returned, but time was critical. And shipping was a week late. Large is about 1/3 too small for a 175 lb. adult. A depressing experience during a time that something like this should have gone right.They can't all be damaged, but I'd say taking a risk with something this important is not worth the savings. Some corners shouldn't be cut.

Arrived early! Received day after I ordered. Good quality box, perfect size to hold thes ashes of our beloved dog Jackie.

Good enough for the time being

The dimensions are slightly smaller than described, so if you are in need of a specific size, do be careful. My box is running from 1/4 - 1/2' smaller than published, which I will just have to make work, but wish I didn't. Otherwise, the box is beautiful.

Handsome box, good finish. Wood is thin enough to degrade quickly if biodegradability is a concern, but box did not feel fragile. Bottom slides out and is secured with one small screw. I used a little wood glue when I sealed it up as added insurance.

If I could give 3.5 stars I would. The pros: Beautiful, sturdy and relatively inexpensive box - i got the XL size- that fit the black plastic box the ashes had come in. Our funeral home would have transferred the ashes for us but we decided last minute to get a new container, and it was so nice and simple to just put one box inside the other. The box came in one day with no shipping issues. The screw at the bottom was secure and easy to use. However the box came with a small ding in one corner, probably because it had only a thin layer of bubble wrap as protection. It was packed in two boxes- one from the shop and one Amazon one- but I think it needed more padding. We only needed the box for church, where it was covered with a cloth, and then for a short service at the cemetery before it was buried. I did not have time to return it and it wasn't a huge deal for our purposes but if you are buying this box for display just keep that in mind.
