Great product for my son doing his GCSE. Compass with screw adjustment is so much better that the cheap ones with pencils in. well worth the extra money

This is the best quality and advanced compasses I have ever bought. My son (year 7 student) loves using them.

Basic rather than professional
In all honesty when I read "professional quality" I expected the item to be robust and easy to use. These compasses are pretty basic compared to what I used at school and the parts do not interchange very easily. It does the basics but not for high quality drawing or measuring.

Fine Product for the Price
I used this in my woodshop to layout circles up to 8 inch radius. This required the extension bar that is included with the kit. It worked well, both on smaller circles and those requiring the extension. This was not an ultra-high precision application though, as I was laying out lines to guide carving. The tools in the kit are of decent quality, especially for the price. I am confident they will hold up over casual use. I don't know about using them for true precision drafting, as the mounting system for the extension and the pencil lead do not seem like they could be counted on the assemble the same way each time to sub-millimeter accuracy. But overall, the kit is fine for general woodworking.

Works as expected!
The quality of this metal compass is very good. It's packed very nicely in the box. I would definitely recommend them to everyone.

Loose screws!
Warning! Open the set on a towel. Three of the very tiny screws and wheels were loose in the box. If lost in carpet..say goodbye forever! Otherwise a very nice set wit quality tools. My best guess is a $1 an hour employee got frustrated and said "screw it" before giving up during a very tedious assembly.
