Rustoleum Color Shift Spray Paint, 11 ounce, Cosmos Blue

First if you know how to use this properly you will be amazed at the end result.1. Use a Black Base cost, can be flat, gloss or even metallic (I chose metallic as a test and it was quite great) - Spray light coat(s) until covered do not spray heavy Allow to dry totally2. When you spray the color shift keep it away from the model at least 8"-10" spray lightly and evenly in light coats3. to achieve the maximum effect plan on 3-4 light coats over a 2 day period to allow full drying time.The end result is jaw dropping as you turn the model the color will drastically shiftThere is NO need to gloss coat, but I was curious so I spray one with a flat clear and it made it look like a denim finish that was also very cool to look at.Experiment and Enjoy

Used this to refinish a guitar, looks killer. The color shift effect is fairly subtle until it is in bright light. Will use again, different color next time.

This spray turned out great! It dries fast, it's easy-to-use and the shifting colors are vibrant. Overall I highly recommend this quality product.

I used the black primer that doesn’t require sanding as recommended. Then I used this for color.The color is really nice - a deep rich metallic blue. My project was a MCM lawn chair, the kind with an irregular woven pattern so I wanted a creative finish. It looks great. My only complaint is that one can didn’t quite cover the whole chair. I’m going to have to get a second can to finish it off. The iridescent effect is subtle but I like that.

The media could not be loaded. Arrived quickly, easy to use, looks beautiful. It was exactly what I wanted- iridescent and looks different in various lighting. I sprayed this set which already was black, so I didn’t have to add a base coat of black. I would highly recommend the black coat if the item you’re spraying isn’t already black as that is what really brings out the color. The paint dried with minimal odor and looks great. I’m very happy with it.

You have to use a black pre coat to whatever you want to spray this one.Comes out clear, once dry you see the color which is basically a very shinny blue.Doesn't really shift into any other color like shown on the cap.It does dry fairly fast and sprays fine ..Just doesn't change /shift in color.Definitely don't recommend

I think this could be the same as, what in 2020 was called 'Specialty color shift' in Galaxy blue, and was 32 bucks a can! I haven't used this one yet but if it's like the 2020 version then it works really good. I painted the engine for my jet boat with it and it looks amazing. It goes from deep blue to purple as you move around it. It takes several, like 6-8 coats to look really good. I used 3 cans for the block and valve covers.Update; This is not the same as the original color shift paint. This paint sprays out a lot thicker and will run on a surface that is not flat. It would be really hard to spray an irregular shaped piece without runs. The older formula could be sprayed in thinner coats allowing it to set quicker preventing runs. color looks good.

This paint is freaking awesome. As with all spray paint, make sure you have good ventilation and an appropriate temperature range so it can dry properly. I used a black base coat as recommended by the instructions, and after that dried, one coat of this paint transformed the box I was painting instantly. It really is a beautiful finish, very impressively professional-looking, and glittery without any mess the way you'd have with actual glitter.
