Works great for Trane XR outside unit made in 2019. Compressor was not starting. Fan was.
Worked great on my Trane XR whole house air conditioner. The capacitor in there had only two terminals.Install this one. Use the C terminal and connect the Compressor Terminal to the relay with the RED jumper wire already in the AC. The fan terminal is not used in this case on a year 2019 Trane XR.New capacitor in there all day now and no issues at all. Compressor starts right up when call for cooling comes in.

Save time and money, easy DIY!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:One of the cheapest on the market, and does the job. Guaranteed for 5 years, my last one lasted over 6 years and takes about 20 minutes to replace. Much better than the $230 the local hvac guys charge!

This and youtube saved me a few hundred bucks!
The media could not be loaded. In quick summary, this replaced my existing GE 97F9895 HC98JA046D and fix my problem of cold air not coming out due to the fan from outside unit not running.Below is the whole story as an FYI and exact issue and symptom that I saw if you are interested.Yesterday(Friday) morning, I heard some strange noise and it sounded like it was coming from outside some where but not my house. Later in the late afternoon, I noticed inside temperature was warmer than usual and the air blowing wasn't much cooler than running regular fan. At first I thought it was because outside was too hot as we were just getting over the heatwave. Then I became more suspicious and noticed that the fan from outside unit wasn't turning, but air was blowing from the vents. I've experienced something similar before where I had to turn off the thermostat and wait maybe 15 to 30 minutes for somethings to get reset then when I turn back on, things worked. So I did that, but this time, it was still the same. So I looked into more and noticed that noise I heard in the morning might have been coming from my unit outside. Something seems to be trying to start, but it wasn't getting started and after few minutes the noise stopped. I thought maybe it's doing a self-shutdown to protect damaging itself. So I first turned off AC and just ran the fan as turning on AC made no difference anyways. And I wanted to avoid any further damage. I then made appointment with HVAC service for Monday afternoon. Then I remember my neighbor telling me long ago how simple it was to just replace some part of AC unit and fixed his problem. So I did some search on web and it looked like my problem was with the capacitor. So I did some more search on YouTube on how to replace the capacitor as well as about discharging the capacitor which is a very important step.See the included video for the problem and image for the part that was replacing. Then I saw this part and it had overnight shipping was like $8 or $9, but Amazon prime trial was only $1.99 and I could get it next day by 10PM for free. I usually get my stuff from Amazon early afternoon, so I joined the prime trial and ordered using regular prime next day shipping. There was an option to pay $2-$3 extra to get it early in the morning, but I didn't take that option which I should have.I got the part next day(Saturday) around 3:30PM. We were lucky that it was kind of cloudy in the morning, so things were just starting to get hot now. I already did prep work on my outside unit so that all I have to do is just replace when the part comes and close it up. I discharged the new capacitor just in case someone had charged it before and returned without discharging. Discharged the existing capacitor again just to be safe. And it took maybe 5 minutes to get it replaced and put things back. And I got my cold air back!!! Inside temperature on 2nd floor was 88 F and so it's taking a long time to cool it down. And this is the part where I now regret that I should have paid extra $2-$3 shipping and get the part early in the morning so that I could fix this before inside became that hot.So I spent around $25(including Prime trial), got the part next day in the afternoon, and probably saved minimum $200 for HVAC service guy doing this for me. I just hope this thing stays running for another 15+ years!

AC capacitor
Put this into my AC unit and it is working just fine for the past couple months, time will tell.

Works fine to replace my 45/5
On my Goodman outdoor unit. Same specs as what's in the unit that lasted for 5 years before corrosion kicked in. Bought extra one to have on hand. Just make sure you take a picture of all the wiring for reference and denote the labels on the canister for each type. Any home owner should be able to do this in 15 minutes (my first time too). Will bump this up a star in 2 years if it lasts that long.

works
5 stars for now it worked to replace the original GE cap. This is actually branded capcom now, as Genteq, formerly Ge, is now Capcom. i guess they keep the old name for people that are looking for the ge/genteq one but you will get a capcom product, at least i did.

The Price is Right!
This little beauty is under $20 and saved me hundreds of dollars in repair bills. My advice is watch some YouTube videos and do it yourself! Easy to install and my AC was cooling the house again in no time. I ordered an extra one for when/if my second unit goes out I can have it up and running again within the hour. I bought this nearly a year ago and the unit is still going strong.
