A nice little book which we’ve started to work our way through during lockdown and have really enjoyed getting to know the local area a bit more. All the walks can either be extended or shortened, and can also be linked on to other walks so you can mix and match to make a walk of exactly the length you like. Some of the instructions could be a bit clearer and occasionally things have changed since the book was published but on the whole its reliable and good value.

The short time i had the book was good. Then a so called friend stole it ( she was a solicitor ).

Only long walks and not actually in Basingstoke, so you would have to drive to most areas.

I bought this book for a friend who lives in a village near Basingstoke. They were delighted with the selection of walks and the fact that they were realistic in terms of distance and terrain. The layout of the book, its clear directions and maps add to its usability. This walking guide is a credit to Bill Andrew's local knowledge and research.Overall, a very good book for anyone living in or visiting the Basingstoke and surrounding area. Recommended.

A guide book which makes one feel that bill andrews has a great deal of interest in the area and its history. It's informative and well set out, and the little historical facts make the book a delight. I intend to do a walk a week and then buy the other books in the series. Sorry, no complaints!

Great book to learn hiking trails

Brilliant books-very helpful maps and snipers of local info. Discovered lots of beautiful walks we never would have found :) highly recommended!
