Outstanding!!!
You should have no fear in buying this Parker IM Ballpoint pen! First it's just beautifully designed and exudes quality, second its fits very natural and comfortable in your hand during writing (even though I normally like pens with the rubber grips). The black ink that comes with it is dark, clear and does not smudge (I'm left handed and with other pens I've found the skin on the side of my hand is smeared with ink), so this is important to left handers. The clip is very sturdy and strong, I clip it to my wallet card insert (does not have a pen holder) and it takes a bit of work to slide it in, so this is not likely to fall out of a shirt pocket if you lean over. The price is not a deal breaker either for this quality is very affordable with many designs to choose from. Comes very nicely boxed for gift giving too and it's a great gift to receive that most people might not treat themselves to. I like this one because it will fit into most pen loops or narrow spaces like in note books. I bought 2, one for my desk at home and one for my wallet/checkbook for my purse (this way I always have a pen when I need it). It has a nice amount of weight to it too not to light, not to heavy either and balances perfectly laying across one finger (not sure why I thought to test that but somehow the weight made me wonder how well the weight was distributed throughout the whole pen)! The ink that comes with it is labeled Ball pen QuincFlow which writes smoothly, consistently and goes thru a carbon copy, not sure gel will. It can take the Gel refills for Ballpoint pens, but I didn't like the reviews I read and it's water based free flowing so that means if the paper gets wet the writing can dissolve away and doesn't dry as fast so can smear, pro is said to have less tension and appearance more stylish looking and darker which I'm unable to review at this time, but I'm curious and it's nice the same pen casing as different ink style options. I do know the ballpoint pen writes very smooth to me and given the ink is oil based it will be more dependable, but I have enjoyed the ease in writing with a rollerball pen too. This is not their top of the line expensive pens that goes into the hundreds but it fits my budget for a nice quality writing instrument.

The Gold Standard
For modest-priced pens you can't do much better than Parker. Yes, you can spend a LOT on their high-end pens, but they have some wonderful ones that won't cost a lot. This IM one in particular. I got it to replace a similar one that I lost. Everyone who saw it remarked on how nice it was. To me, this one is an improvement. I like the color, the feel, and the metal end. The distinct Parker clip looks great in a shirt pocket, and it writes like a charm. And refills are never a problem. For everyday writing, you can't go wrong. Why have a crummy-looking pen when you can have something great like this? I'll never go back to plastic disposable pens. The gift box is nice enough to give this as a gift, which I have done. This one's a keeper.

Great pen
A fancy version of the Parker. Much more sturdy. Comfortable. I put in refills with brown ballpoint ink.

Spring wears out
The spring this pen has already worn out. This pen lasts far longer than the jotter, which exploded. Pentel Client lasts longer than a Parker Urban. Parker Urbans are better looking but require more spring replacements. Choose your weapon.

Sophisticated and pretty
I love the violet color - it is understated and classy. I put in a Parker bold black refill, as I like bold lines of 1.0 mm or more. Fun pen to write with and I like that it is retractable.

It broke after half a year,
It broke after half a year, and the front part fell off. Absolute junk product. Don’t waste your money. It’s just a brand. It has nothing to do with quality. It’s all customized from Asia at the lowest price. With the logo printed on it, it has lost the meaning of Parker.
