Even Better Than Her First Book
I got even more information from the author’s second book on hair care. This book gives more medical details and what to discuss with your doctor. There are also chapters listing and explaining the different ingredients in hair care products. This was a quick read for me as some chapters didn’t apply personally, however I did slow down to read why lye relaxers are better than no-lye relaxers. The author gives recommendations on treatments for both traction alopecia and female (and male) pattern baldness. What I really need to know is what else can be done for my alopecia areata which is an autoimmune disorder. There is also a chapter about which supplements/vitamins have been proven to work with hair growth and biotin is not listed 👀 I’ve had success with biotin thickening my hair and making my skin look better, but I couldn’t keep up with eating three separate meals a day to keep up with taking the vitamins.

Fantastic book! I'd give it 10 stars if I could
I did not have to buy this book. I saw Dr Aguh months ago. At that time I had a buzz cut to hide a lot of bald areas after struggling with hair loss for a few years (there is nothing wrong with a buzz cut). After following her instructions, a few months later, my hair showed great success. So I already had advice that worked. :-)While reviewing the instructions recently, I decided to check out the full book. And I'm so glad I did. It is an easy read, it is well-explained, and the writing is both empathetic and honest. Each chapter is 1-2 pages with explanations and advice.I wish it covered the topic of hair coloring (looks like the first book does), but I would still give it 10 stars if I could. I recommend it highly.

Finally clarity
Clear and non bias recommendations for supplements, hair care regimens and products with rationales. Easy read with no fluff. I really appreciate this text.

New to your natural hair? Buy this book.
Well written book and easy to understand. I have 3b/3c natural curly hair. There was only two pages on my type of hair so I was a bit disappointed. I thought I would learn something I didn’t already know. For me, this book was a waste of money. I will say that for a new natural hair person this book would be helpful. I have been natural for 7 years and have learned a lot about my hair through trial and error.

Just what the doctor ordered
After being natural for 6 years, I still didn’t understand how to truly care for my hair. After reading this book, and following the instructions on hair care and which products to purchase, i can honestly say that my hair feels so much better. I’m grateful.

Very well-written, informative, and easy to read!
I’d highly recommend for those just starting on their curly-girl journey or for ones who may be struggling it.Most of the information I knew and even knowing most of what was discussed it was still a very good read!

Clearly written and concise short chapters! I started my natural hair journey a few months ago and have been very nervous & confused, not knowing what to do. But this book has made it lil easier for me to handle

A Very Repetitive Book!
This book is very repetitive! Author Dr. Crystal Augh is repeating herself by saying the same thing she mentioned in her previous book! All she did was 'copy and paste' the information she said from her previous book into the 'sequel'! Perhaps she forgot what she wrote in her first book! Yes, I know the information is valuable but there really is no need to repeat yourself, Dr. Augh!
