convenient, tasty, fresh, lasts long time in cupboard, good as is or add other goodies to it
Love keeping Annie Chun products in my pantry. Convenient, shelf stable food that makes for a quick lunch or dinner. Easy to prepare, good flavor. Not always my go-to for food of this type, but sometimes I dont want to make a lot or I dont want to be bothered with all the prep. I just want the taste and texture when I want it. I love that everything is separately packaged. This really helps to keep it fresh and very long lasting in the cupboard. Well beyond any "best by" date. Noodles are vac packed, seasoning and sauce in their own packets, then all tucked into a sturdy bowl. Sometimes I eat it as is, sometimes I add in other goodies (veg or protein, usually some sort of left over in fridge), sometimes a little extra seasoning (or even a little added peanut butter or peanut butter powder). Totally good prepared as is, but it also works when used as a base if you have things you want to bulk it up or change the flavor a little. Nice crunchy chili oil works very nicely for turning it into spicy peanut noodles!

Good noodles!
Amazon just showed that I’ve bought this 20 times in the past 2-3 years. And another pack of 6 is coming tomorrow. I love these noodles, and Amazon is slightly lower priced than my local supermarket. I’m not as fond of the other flavors.

Too sweet and watery
I saw the almost 5 star over all rating and assumed it was for this flavor. Seems like Kung pao is more popular. Not sure if I'll be buying this again but if I did, I would want to try out that flavor. I followed the directions exactly. Noodles are great. Nice and chewy in a good way. With the 1/4 cup water added, plus the sauce after noodles are warmed to taste, it was quite watery. I will try adding even less water next time, and half the sauce as it's so sweet and I can't really enjoy it. I'll add some other sauces like oyster, hoisin or soy sauce instead to give it more flavor. I think this peanut sweet flavor is just not for me.

TASTE is different for everyone, BUT
I like this for a change. They're quick, keep well, like the taste, a bit hotter than I thought they would be, so I use just about A HALF of the TOPPINGS package with spices. So if it's a tad hot or spicy for you, just use less of the spices. If you like Peanut Sauce and Noodles, I think you will like this. Depends on what you're used to. Personally, I think they taste FRESHER and BETTER than some I have gotten in restaurants. FOR A QUICK, SUPER EASY MEAL when you want something a little different, a little spicy, these are GREAT to keep around. VERY SHELF STABLE. Just check expiration dates. BOTTOMLINE: I order these once every other month or so for a change of pace.

Easy, onion-free... and no longer tasty
Below is the review I posted some time ago. I am now updating it because they have changed the product (again). It's still easy and it remains onion-free, but it's just not very *good*. The noodles are mushier, the sauce is thicker but has less depth... it's just blah and awful. I'm kinda heartbroken, to be honest, because these noodle bowls were a godsend to me. Now I won't eat them. --- This product has made me ridiculously happy. I can't eat onions (or scallions) at all. It's not an allergy proper; the technical term is intolerance... but the end result is the same in that I can't eat them without becoming seriously ill. That's why I'm *delighted* that the "New! tastes even better" version of this product includes *no* onions. It is terribly difficult to find a convenience food for which this is the case, and it tastes wonderful to me. Some grocery stores (I'm looking at you, Fayetteville, Georgia Publix) still stock the old kind, so I've had to be very careful about checking the label, but the noodles Amazon just sent me are the new kind. I recommend this to people without onion intolerance, too. My husband says it has too many steps. "You might as well cook," he complains. I find this easy, though. Perhaps he finds it daunting because it contains four separate pouches. The oddly-named "topping" goes into the bowl first and then is covered with a quarter-cup of water. The noodles go atop that; they aren't quite touching the water, but they clearly get the benefit of being steamed. Microwave that for 90 seconds and let it sit a moment. Then add the sauce and stir, putting peanuts on top. It's honestly not that difficult, and the end result is excellent and consistent. At almost 600 calories a bowl, it's clearly a full meal, but it's filling. Highly recommended. Thank you, Annie Chun's, for making a tasty, onion-free meal bowl.

Versatile noodle bowls worth having in your kitchen pantry!
I find that each one of the different types of Annie Chun’s Noodle Bowls are really good and worth ordering. They’re even better as a light meal by adding sautéed veggies of your choice.
