Works great for tech multitasking using Win 10 and 7. Also Linux
Purchased for my tech department employees to use with laptops. Works perfectly on Windows 10 and 7 also seems to work fine with CentOS and Redhat Linux. We work on a lot of EMC, NetApp, Cisco...equipment testing using serial ports and this is great and easy to stick in a laptop case. They can more easily multitask by running multiple serial connections to multiple systems using Putty or Hyperterminal, etc. I advise you determine what comport each serial connection "head" is assigned in device manager because it gets confusing. We mark each serial head with a number that corresponds to the com port assigned by OS. Once you install the drivers each "head" is assigned a comport that does not change.

Functional and Straightforward
Works great. Prolific Driver disk provided helped to ease our setup. USB ports not labeled but can be identified using simple feedback/loopback connector. Would buy again.

Great USB to serial port hub
Great USB to serial port hub. Works great for radio programming that still use serial cables.

It works great!
All four ports were recognized on my Macintosh laptop without having to load drivers. I needed it to help set up and configure a set of Cicso switches and a NetApp cluster. I told several of my coworkers about it so they could get one for themselves!

Here's detailed (Linux) driver/device info
When buying "generic" computer hardware like this I often wish someone would post some technical details so that I can make a better guess regarding whether or not it's going to work for me. I bought one of these for use on a RPi-based test fixture, and so far I have not run into problems. I did not need the driver disc at all -- just worked out of the box on Debian Linux (wheezy & stretch).`lsusb` outputs the following:Bus 003 Device 012: ID 0403:6001 Future Technology Devices International, Ltd FT232 USB-Serial (UART) ICBus 003 Device 011: ID 0403:6001 Future Technology Devices International, Ltd FT232 USB-Serial (UART) ICBus 003 Device 010: ID 0403:6001 Future Technology Devices International, Ltd FT232 USB-Serial (UART) ICBus 003 Device 009: ID 0403:6001 Future Technology Devices International, Ltd FT232 USB-Serial (UART) ICBus 003 Device 008: ID 1a40:0101 Terminus Technology Inc. Windows 10 No Installation Required
Tech Support not rated as it was not needed. Arrived on time and was an easy plug and play install

Not recommended due to instability
I bought two of these for a test at work. They almost never worked across multiple programs and computers. They were all connected to Applied Motion stepper drives, but we have never had issues with any other serial to USB converters. They also caused problems with other software. Not sure what kind of issue these had. I missed the return deadline by one day so we thought it was best to just throw them away to prevent any issues with future testing. All of our computers use Windows 7.

Great for a terminal server in a Cisco study lab
Works perfectly on a Dell Optiplex 960 SFF, running Linux kernel 3.2.0-4-amd64, acting as a terminal server for my Cisco lab environment. I am able to access the console ports of all four devices (2 Cisco switches and 2 Cisco routers) connected to this device.

Excellent Product for Remote Serial Port Access of Network Devices
I needed to have remote access to few network devices for remote staging and configuration and plugged into a compact PC running a remote access software on it, I now have access to 4 of routers and switches that I needed to configure. I am sure if you have more than 4 devices to handle, multiple of this product can be plugged into USB ports and it then replaces a terminal server. I really like this and will probably order another one.

Worked first Go!
I plugged the device into the raspberry pi's usb port , searched /var/log/messages for the new interfaces and then connected to them using minicom (Terminal emulator)Recommended product works with Raspberian on a Pi nicely as a agret 4 port terminal server!

Great tool
Very stable, was able to console into a switch, firewall and two controllers at the same time, very useful!

One of a kind!
I have been looking for long finding a 4 ports serial to usb adapter. This one works like a charm with Linux, macOS and Windows. I have deployed a few network POPs with it since this purchase and no complains! Cable appear to be a bit fragile, but this should not be an issue if manipulated with care.
