A useful and dependable microwave. This is the third one we have bought over the years, the last one in 2019. They last about 6 years and that's with a lot of daily use. I have noticed the latest version is a tiny bit smaller on the outside and a little quieter. It's nice to see that Emerson has continued to improve an older product. The price is still great too. This microwave does everything a basic microwave should do and does it well. I think it punches a little above its weight and is a real bargain.They have added a child safety lock, but we don't have children, so we haven't tried it. We use it mostly for sides, frozen dinners, and leftovers. Be aware that, being a smallish model, it will not fit the largest of plates. It will cook an individual frozen entree in 6 or 7 minutes, a bowl of instant oatmeal in 2, and at 700 watts you shouldn't have to worry about tripping a circuit breaker.It comes with the usual rotating platter that can be removed for cleaning. The basic controls are easy to use, 1 - 6 minutes just by pressing the corresponding number and also has a thirty second setting when you only press start. It's a good machine.

This fits my space and works flawlessly! I chose this particular one because Emerson has been in business for 100+ years and I've bought many of their electronics. I like the handle on the door as opposed to a push button that can wear out/break.I recommend this product!

Heats up food and coffee functions well so far

My previous microwave went kaput after we had a lovely 9 year run together. I wasn't looking to spend too much on a new one, I really only use microwaves for maybe 5 things. I really wanted a red one to match my kitchen color theme, but those were all pretty pricey. Stumbled across this little guy and was intrigued. My old microwave was bigger, and took up a decent amount of counter space.I don't know much about watts and all that electrical mumbo-jumbo, all I knew was that my old microwave was 900 watts (honestly something I didn't even know until it died on me) and this was 700. This unit is definitely smaller, but I think that's a plus. Also, the plate and rotating round thingy inside my old one fits perfectly in the new one, so now I have a backup!The power level of this unit doesn't seem any different from the other one, honestly. At most, I've had to microwave something 15-30 seconds longer than before.Definitely a fan of this microwave, I love the durability and quality of Emerson brands, and I am sure it will last just as long as my previous one.

Purchased for a parent, they loved it! Has 6 preset buttons, 30 second button, fit in the small counter space. Just so happened to be the same brand they had before that lasted many years.

I ordered the microwave for a small rental house. Purchase it in April while remodeling. It did not go into use until mid June. It worked fine for approximately 6 weeks. One morning upon opening the door, the entire inside door panel pulled off and latches would not close or catch. I couldn’t see anyway to fix it so I contacted the manufacture through Amazon as the return time had expired. The manufacturer never contacted me back. Thankfully Amazon did remedy the situation. Customer service through Emerson was nonexistent. I do not recommend this product.

I highly recommend it. I've had it for over a year now and it works perfectly, it's like the first day.

Very happy with purchase. Received first unit with some kind of electrical short on unboxing. Called Emerson who advised to proceed with a return. Amazon replaced immediately, love Amazon’s instant response! Second unit is perfect and full of value for money.
