great look and great function. Doing the installation by yourself instead of a professional would take 2 people and perhaps about 4 hrs. Make sure you have a saw to cut metal and drill through tile.

These doors are both impressive to look at, and of high quality construction. They certainly cost a pretty penny, but we are glad we choose these over models that are a quarter of the price. The shower door glides very smoothly along the top rail with minimal effort, and there are brakes/stops to prevent any chance of slamming the door open or shut and damaging it. The glass is thick and free of bubbles or imperfections.Now, all that said, there are some downsides to these doors. Because they are so great looking, and because they will become the focal point of your bathroom, you'll want to keep them clean looking. If your water has any hardness at all, this means taking a squeegee and towel to them after EVERY USE. This is quite a commitment. We've managed to make it part of our routine for the last month, and I think we'll stick with it, but it's definitely not for everybody.According to the instructions these were supposed to be installed by a licensed professional. We didn't look into finding a licensed Vigo shower door installation expert, if such people exist, and installed it ourselves. This was not difficult, but a little tricky for a number of reasons. First, the instructions aren't as clear as they could be. For example, they don't point out that you'll need to put the sliding door inside the shower enclosure before installing the fixed panel. Maybe this is common sense to everyone else, but we just followed the instructions sequentially, and halfway through the installation, we found we had to take everything back down. Also, the doors weigh about 80 pounds each and they are massive, so you can't do this on your own. Bear in mind that the supporting bar, which takes all the weight of the sliding door, must be attached to the house framing, which in our case was behind the tile of the shower wall. You'll need special drill bits to drill through tile.A quick word about Wayfair; they offered free shipping (a big plus) and used YRC to ship the doors. When I called YRC to ask about the delivery details, they told me that it would be my responsibility to get the shower doors off the truck. I was surprised, and unsure if we'd be able to do it (shipping weight was 250 lbs). However, the YRC deliveryman removed the doors on a pallet using a lift system and then offered to wheel the pallet into our garage. We were very impressed with his customer service, and glad that he wasn't literal about the terms of delivery.

These are stunningly doors. They are well made, heavy duty doors, on a smartly designed frame to allow for adjustments for fitting the doors into the opening side of the shower.

Door is easy to install on out of plumb walls but fixed panel is not. Either way got it done. Looks and works great

Just renovated my entire master bathroom and I used these black smoked shower doors. These doors are the highlight of our bathroom renovation. Although I’m handy I didn’t want to take the risk with these doors so I hired a professional company to come and install these doors for me. The contractor who has been installing shower doors for 8 years said he had never seen doors like this before. These doors are definitely one of the highlights of our new bathroom.

Let me start by saying that I have very high standards for quality. This door fully delivers for what is considered a "luxury home" quality design. The door was packaged very well, and was 271lbs (total) delivered on a pallet via freight. Installation was not complex, just physically challenging as a one-man show. The manufacturer did an excellent job of incorporating several methods for adjustment. Leveling the doors was a breeze, and with natural slate tiles, none of my edges were consistent.I am definitely pleased with this purchase, and will vouch for the high degree of quality and precision that was put into the manufacturing.For anyone interested in the technical specs of my particular installation, my shower installation width was 67 7/8". I ordered the 64"-68" wide model (VG6041STCL6874) which gave me around 2" of overlap between the two panes. A threshold is included in this installation for the moving panel; however, I have not yet installed it because I have a sloped shower curb, and I first wanted to see how well it managed water running off the door.5 out of 5, would absolutely purchase again!

Beautiful once installed. Quality hardware, rollers, glass etc. This is definitely not one of those chintzy 90's light weight rickety shower doors that clang around. It feels solid and expensive. I didn't end up using most of the plastic/rubber edging for the glass which acts as a squeegee. Looks better without it, and isn't necessary. I also tried to get away with not installing the black bar at the bottom for aesthetic reasons as I've installed this over top of a nice solid 6" wide quartz curb. Unfortunately I had water spilling out, so I had to put it in. That black bar is only there to act as a water dam, and you could use something else if you need to achieve a different look. For me it ended up looking quite good. Definitely a 2 man install. Total package weight must be around 250lbs. Each glass pane is about 100lbs. Had to open the package on the ground floor and carry it up in pieces. Very happy overall
