2 Pieces Different Fin Comb Condenser Fin Straightener Air Condition FCR6 Fin Comb and Stainless Steel Fin Comb Radiator Repair Tool Set for Straighten Evaporator Condenser Coils

Some tenants of mine apparently used a baseball bat against the condenser unit. Imagine their shock when the air conditioner stopped working very well. You can't fix stupid.What you can fix, are those thin little strips of aluminum that act as the heat sinks on your condenser. These tools do just that. They straighten the little strips of aluminum so that air can once again pass through them, and they can discharge excess heat into the air that the fan passes through them. To be honest, the fins have to be pretty darn bent up before it makes much of a difference, but it will make a difference. If the difference is too small to be perceptible you can rest assured that even the smallest little bit will eventually show up in your energy bills. These tools will pay for themselves over time used properly. Easy does it, don't make matters worse, gently lift the fins back into place with these combs.

The plastic combs didn’t work on my window units, but the metal comb did work.

Worked as intended for

I've got a couple of GE window AC units as a home backup in Houston. Usual bumps into the condenser fins. None of the plastic combs fit being too wide. The metal tines on the other piece would not neatly fit in between the fins and mostly just crumpled them. I don't think it was me.

Tried to use to straighten evaporator fins on a central air conditioner. The highest count 20 did not fit between the fins, the plastic is just too thick and rough to smoothly comb through anything.The metal tool made things worse, all it seemed to do was make fins worse.Maybe the AC unit was just too old, and the condenser fins were too brittle/worn or something.

This worked perfect to straighten my coils. They kept freezing and I got this to see if it would help it did. I would recommend

I was hoping to use this for a couple automotive condensors that have seen a lot of miles and have multiple fins bent in. Unofrtunetly the automotive style fins are in a v-shape pattern across the condensor. Unfortenty these would not work for this style. had to use a small screw driver and a few hours of work to straighten out.

Worked great on my AC unit when I was cleaning it before I turned it on.
