Because the color of each Bit-Lite cord matches the color of the pre-wired LED bulb, you can focus on your project, not figuring out what materials you need. Bit-Lite pre-wired LED’s are 5mm with a 7.75” (or 20cm) flexible PVC-coated cord. This pack includes 50 white pieces. With Bit-Lite LED’s in hand, add an experiential element to a festival costume, or customize the lighting in a hobby train station village. If you’re mocking up a prototype of a new product, you can add functioning lights to test your idea before paying an industrial designer to produce a full model – or just give your computing project some extras. More technically minded wedding decorators can incorporate Bit-Lite LED’s into table arrangements to add delicate and unexpected illumination. Your imagination is the limit! We love seeing what creative minds do with their Bit-Lite pre-wired LED’s – if you made something cool, we’d love to see pictures and hear about it in the reviews!

+++Black+++ - - -colored- - -
Each lead is soldered well and heatshrinked. Like all reviews indicate, count on the Black being (+) positive, colored being (-) negative when you wire these up. Reversing polarity doesn’t burnout an LED, just like reverse polarity has no adverse affect on a diode, just expect no light. Operational voltage range: 2v-12v. 2v very dim, 12v very bright. To allow 12 volt without burnout, each negative lead has a current limiting 500 ohm resistor. These should work great for accent lighting, or status light for “fan on”, “oil pressure”, “relay status”. I’ve always wanted a light to know when my car radiator fan kicks on (car getting hot). These are well worth the $0.14 each.

Wired Backwards & Inconsistent
As the other reviews state, these are wired backwards. They shine bright, but some of them are defective out of the box.On top of that, half of the green LEDs were a different tint of green than the others, which made my project look haphazard.Lastly, the wire tips are too short to intertwine together. And when you strip them, they're not as thick as the ends. It's just a ton of thin stranded wires inside the insulation, which makes stripping them insanely difficult.Overall, they get the job done, but they're a pain to work with if you need to strip them.

wired backwards
The leds are soldered well to the leads and they do work and are bright. My complaint is that the negative (-) leads are color coded wire and the positive are all black. This is backwards of how it should be and now my project box has 8 multi colored wires ran to the single negative and I have individual black wires ran to the switches to fire each light and hope I wired the right switch to the right led. Also, blue and green are very close in color.

Works great, very bright. Must have for 12V systems
These are great for 12V systems. I'm using them for night lights in my RV, so we can see when we get up in the night, but we don't drain the batteries much. I first assumed I would need two in the floor fixture, but that was so bright I didn't want it on all night, so I cut one out. It's still so bright you can see it's on in the daylight.I'm very happy.

Colored wire is negative, not positive - not what you would think
I was disappointed that the colored wire for each light is negative. If you were wiring something that had a red wire (red light) and a black wire, you would ordinarily think the red would be positive and the black would be negative. Not only is that a reasonable presumption, but follow most automotive accessories (12V right?) And therefore any other color would be the same. NOPE. Colored wire is negative, positive is black. That's backwards from everything 12v that I have worked on, all my life. Disappointed.

Resistors get very hot!
I have been working with LED's for a few years for multiply lighting projects for Halloween. And I was looking for a more affordable option, and I thought these would work, but the resistors get very hot. Thinking it was just one bad on out of the bunch, but I tested 10 of them 2 of each color with the same results. I'm afraid to use them and would not consider this brand again.

What the ????
Ordered 12 vote LED’s but they get really hot and Burn out after about two minutes so I put them on 5v and they work fine even though I ordered 12v LEDs and for some reason the black wire is positive would’ve been a little bit more better if the positive was the colored wire but you know they say since is not common it is what it is !!other than that everything is good I’ll make it work..

Wired Backwards - Polarity Reversed
The Bad:Every one I have tested is wired backwards !!Black wire is anode, colored wire is cathode !!!The wire is CHEAP, difficult to strip.The good:Colors are bright.& attractiveResistor is built-inLED lit up with as little as 3v, with 9v it's bright.
