Work great
These projects blocks are great. I use them for all kinds of things when I’m doing projects. The grip on them securely hold your work piece in place. When I need to route the edges of a board I can just set it on these blocks and holds the board in place while I route around it. I don’t have to worry about clamping it my bench, routing a side, unclamping, rotating clamping again…you get the point. I just put the board on these and easily route around all four side. I use the for sanding as well. I try to keep the top of my workbench clean but always get something on it. Sometimes I don’t see things on the top and they transfer to my work piece. With these project blocks I can keep whatever I’m working on up off the bench top and don’t need to worry about something transferring to or scratching or marring the bottom of the board. When you extend the points on the project blocks, you can use these for painting staining, etc. The points are fine enough that when you flip your work piece over and work on the opposite side no marks are left by the point.I use these often and think they are a great timesaver over clamping/unclamping things to my bench.

Super sturdy and work great for keeping things in place
I’ve used these quite a bit when finishing g small project. They hold things in place very well while I’m sanding. And the twist up points work great when I’m ready to apply finish. This purchase was my second set. First set is still great I just found myself having to apply finish to more projects at the same time. They are a little hard to twist up and down sometimes so consider buying some grip strength trainers too :)

Not very durable -- would not buy again
These were very nice and convenient when I first started using them, but after using the swivel a few times to put the pointer out for painting projects, the units very quickly stopped working properly. The design, while very nice in concept are engineered flawed. They broke very easily and after a few swivel, they quickly becomes unaliged and refuses to swivel back down to a flat surface. I would not buy these again.

Should have bought these years ago
I do a lot of carpentry projects in my basement and have made my own risers to fit into my work table to raise wood panels for cutting and painting. They do not even come close to how amazing these Kreg project blocks are. Nothing, and I mean nothing, slips off these blocks. As for painting projects and the adjustable point, it works great for one panel but if you have several panels to paint or stain, the price point would be a little high for just 4 blocks. There are several cheaper options. As for these Kreg blocks, I will be telling my family that I want more for my birthday, fathers day, and Christmas. (I'm tough to buy for). Love these blocks and highly recommend.

Don't listen to the negative reviews about the twisting mechanism
I don't know why some people are saying the twisting mechanism to retract the painting points is difficult to use. A monkey could do it. They work exactly how they are intended to. The quality is good enough to fulfill the purpose that they are supposed to serve.

Extremely difficult to twist.
These pucks work great as a spacer to elevate my work pieces. However useless to use for painting as I can't turn them to raise the point. They are very very difficult to twist if not impossible. I made sure to push in the tab as I tried to turn them. I ended up using a couple of clamps for leverage. In this respect I'm dissappointed with them. They are not up to Kreg's usual quality.
