Miracle-Gro Handy Lawn Seed Spreader

Cheap effective handy piece of equipment. Use this for grass seed and grass feed. Can control the amount you spread. Comfortable when held correctly, makes spreading etc quick and easy, whilst getting even coverage. Does not feel cheap or flimsy, wish id gone to the hassle of getting one years ago, dont need to fork out on a battery powered one, this does the job just as well. Straight forward to use, fill it, set the flow, turn the handle and walk.

I used this seed spreader for one season to cover a large section of my lawn. It is easy to refill and simple to operate. It spreads better than doing it by hand, although it is not as consistent as larger and more advanced machines. One thing I noticed is that I have to hold the spreader in my left hand while turning the handle with my right. Normally this would not matter, but my left arm was sore at the time and I realised it is not very comfortable to hold for long periods. Anyone who prefers using their right hand to support the weight might feel the same. The spreading pattern is acceptable and it does the job, just not in a perfectly even way. For light or occasional use it is a practical tool and it gets the seed down quickly.

Works as advertised. Easy to use and with clear instructions.

Not much to say except it is small and works well. it has 5 settings which basically adjusts the size of the hopper opening as i was putting down new seed I used setting 5 as recommended I made a couple of passes to ensure good coverage but if you walk slower you could get it in one pass. Its not suitable if its windy as it will blow the seed everywhere unless you stoop down low. Its easy to use and can be used with lawn feed granules as well. It can suit on a shelf and doesn't take up much room.

Well built, good price and good spread.. when it works, I found at all settings 1-5 regular grass seed wasnt coming through consistently and I had to keep shaking or tapping on the side to get anything to come out, seed on 5th setting should just be falling out everywhere but it just wasnt. Maybe needs the plastic stirrer the tub to be a bit bigger for more consistent spread. Still happy I got it because it just needs the tap or shake but the video and reality are not the same.

Works a treat, well made and durable.

Very easy to use, spreads seed very well although I always go over twice but not cos it's needed 😀 would recommend, everything could be cheaper but happy to pay the money for this. Not too heavy when filled right up. Smooth texture and comfortable.

Bad design, the seed and fertiliser kept getting stuck somehow and a lot of product will fall straight down. My cheaper spreader was doing a much better job.
