Sorry, I Forgot to Ask (Best Me I Can Be!)

My 9 yr. son loved the book. It was too wordy for my 6 yr. daughter. She got bored before halfway done with the book.

This is a great book I use with my younger clients. It helps them to understand one must ask first before acting.

Good guidance book for preschoolers and young children. Hard for young children to understand about monetary value on "things"and try to imitate what they see adults do without their having enough information. Use the first time as a learning experience. If they choose to repeat the behavior, there will be a consequence then. If the child asks what that will be, just say, "I do not know right nowbut you bet it will be a good one". Worked every time on my kids.

I got this book for my four-year old, so we could reinforce good manners and asking permission. He loves the pictures and seems to really identify with the character RJ. Plus the focused rhymes about knowing how to ask permission and the corrects steps are simple and clear, making them very effective for younger kids. I also have two other RJ books - they are an addition to our library that will work for us for a few years to come. Well worth the small price tag.

Great book. Engaging for ages 3+.

My 3 year old is very independent, which I love, but sometimes she oversteps boundaries. This book has helped her understand why certain boundaries are in place and how to ask for permission and apologize .This book would best hit home with school aged children but the general concepts can definitely be picked up by a 3-4 year old.

This is a great book! Love RJ's lessons on how to do things in a calm way. Great for defiant behavior or kids that would rather ask for forgiveness than permission.

Kids enjoy this book and can be used as a learning lesson. It’s easy to refer to this book while in the classroom.

Very useful book to help children realise their manners. I bought virtually all of Julia Cook's series which I'll be using over the course of a year

My son is ADHD and he loved the Julia Cook series of books. He can related to each and every story, it is like she knows him!

I love the story and have used it with my class and family.
