We have 4 TVs in this house and all of them are connected to a Roku. I just had to go buy another one because after 7 years, the box died, but it was very inexpensive. I have sooooooo many of my favorite shows stored in the roku cloud so I can binge watch. It's compatible with most TVs and you can add a boatload of free TV apps. You do need internet to run the box and if you want live channels, you have to go with frndly tv (that's how it's spelled) or hulu or you can get you local cable app. I have Xfinity for internet so I can get Xfinity beta to watch live stations. Check with google on which streaming apps have your favorite shows before signing up for them.

Apparently refurbished Roku products don't function the same as original. However, the refurbished product functions very well and I'm satisfied with my purchase so far
