Do NOT take on an empty stomach!!!!!!!
My personal experience with this has been poor, but I think it's mainly due to user error.I saw the instructions on the bottle say, "eat with a large meal", but I was already in my bed with a few hours post-dinner, and thought "how much harm could some ginger and artichoke do?". So I took 1 pill and went to bed.Shortly after, my stomach and lower esophagus started BURNING. I tried to drink some water, but no effect. I laid on my right side, the right side would burn. When I turned to the left, the left would burn. Because I am stupid and was intent on sleeping, I decided to try to wait it out. After about an hour of tossing and turning I finally fell asleep.Well, that was a terrible mistake, because the next day, as soon as I tried to use my stomach at all, even take a sip of room temperature water, it really hurt! And I didn't expect that it would be more than 3 days before I could eat normally again.So, all in all, I am not going to give this pill a bad rating because I think it was mainly my fault, but I have never experienced anything like this before.I will leave you with three lessons:1. Eat this during a LARGE MEAL!2. If you experience pain, get more food in your stomach ASAP and drink a bunch of milk too!3. Be careful and don't underestimate OTC products. I don't normally consider myself having a sensitive stomach, so those who are already prone to stomach pain may want to watch out.
