Good value and stand up well in the dishwasher. The ones we had with wooden handles started getting nasty in the washer instead of clean because the finish on our wooden handle knives wore out. We like these very much.

This knife set is a good find and a decent quality for the price. I needed replacements for a very old set, and needed the right size and black handles to match the others in my knife block. These are a good fit and they look nice. The knives are light weight and are serrated. I love serrated but would prefer the serrations to be a little smaller. I know instructions on any knives say to hand wash instead of using the dishwasher, but I always put them in the dishwasher. These washed very well. They feel like they will be sturdy enough and for such a great price, I am pleased with them.

Well made

I would not call these the best steak knives I have ever used but they are well made and sturdy and do the job. I would consider this a very good buy for the price I paid.

Acutally, these are well made, priced right and sharp. We ordered one 6 piece set and decided to order a second set to complete what we needed for a total number of knives. The only downfall and not a biggie, is that due to the Stainless Steel not being mirror smooth and shiny (it's more of a dull surface), at times in our dishwasher, there will be stains and hardened material that we need to scrub off by hand. These are the only silverware that does this in our dishwasher. That's not a show-stopper and we often just hand wash them after use and no issues! Over all, quite happy with these for how well and sharp they are and if we need to hand-wash these at times, again, that's not a big deal. Still very well worth the 5 star review!

All the handles discoloured after first wash; one of the knife has a permanent stain(corrosion like) after first wash. Another knife was rusty after third wash, perhaps not dried immediately. How is this being labeled as "Stainless Steel" at the product description? I have had steak knife from another brand for more than 4 years and none of the above unpleasant experience occured. Will not purchase from Cuisinart in future.
