## Description

A lightweight, compact auto-braking descender for rope access and rescue designed for semi-static ropes ranging from 10-11 mm. Designed for expert users; the lever does not have the anti-panic function. The body and lever are made of robust hot-forged aluminum alloy. Mechanical parts are made of precision-cast stainless steel. The internal mechanism and locking cam use a patented design for smooth action on the rope which prevents rapid wear-and-tear and absorbs energy from small shocks with a slight amount of rope slippage. The fluid action on the rope also allows the Druid to function well for rope ascent. The cam can be de-activated with a trigger to allow quick sliding of the rope in situations with no load or limited load. Steel ring for attaching a keeper cord. Standards: – EN 12841/C as a descender of the working line for workers up to 264 lbs. – can also be used for rope access rescue up to 440 lbs. – EN 341/2A as an emergency evacuation device on a single line for workers up to 264 lbs. – 11 mm semi-static rope (Lithium 11 mm). – EN 15151-1 for climbing structures using mountaineering techniques with dynamic ropes ranging from 9.9 to 11 mm.

Review: Camp Druid Pro works well - I have a Druid Pro and now a Petzl Rig. My boys and I are new to climbing trees as I need to do tree work around my house. I also have a Rope Runner Pro but I need to figure out my setup better before I go to using the RRP all the time. So for now I am using the Druid Pro and Petzl Pro Rig along with a CT hand ascender and foot loop. This is for shorter climbs up to 45ft. I like the quality and ease of install of the Camp descender. My boy says he prefers the Petzl as perhaps he was able to descend faster and more smoothly with the Petzl. I think they both function fine but I also like the compactness of the Druid Pro. Petzl has a bunch of plastic. I paid a little more for the Druid Pro (152 vs 128) but the Druid is worth it to me. I see even lower prices on the Rig right now - they must not sell very well. I have used these on 11.2mm (Arbo Space) and 11.7mm (Samson Hyperclimb) rope. The 11.2mm is getting pretty small for my weight and my RRP and thus I decided to try 11.7 in these other descenders. Seems to work fine.
Review: For Rope Access, far and away the best desceder I've ever used. - Decided to put my money where my mouth is and replace every piece of Petzl crap - on my harness- sent out to Rope Access jobs. This is for my personal travel kit as we must use our branded Yates harness which I love) but am just plain tired of working long hours on rope with the inferior garbage that Petzl is producing lately. Most Rope Access companies are on the Petzl band wagon but I know of several companies producing safer far better quality equipment. I've used at one time or another, just most descenders out there bit wanted The one to rule them all. I picked up Druid Pro unseen as it appeared to be exactly what I am looking for and took a chance. Absoulutely a joy to work on, extremely good quality and preforms perfectly as I had hoped. When I pick up and I'D or Rig now for other rigging purposes I just laugh at how poor and cheap it is compared. The rest of my kit as well is far better to use daily and it does make a difference when you spend most of your life on rope and performing hard work. Loading and unloading the device is different but after a couple of changeovers becomes becomes natural and easy, just have to get away from the muscle memory of your previous descender. It doesn;t take long and works fine. LOVE the Druid Pro. After many many years in Rope Access finally the one. Happy Rope Tech. I'll use it recreationally as well for putting up rock climbs on fixed lines. Beautiful device.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than expected
*by L***N on November 5, 2020*

Small and does what is expected. You can go up the rope and down the rope without a second attaching. I did not buy it to rappel but to lower myself from the tree. Playing with it a little I could descend safely with one hand. Anything happens, release and you stop. I have a Petzl ID. Big heavy and the anti panic lever can be frustrating. Plus side of the Petzl ID is that it never has to come off the carabiner. On my Camp Pro I attach a vey thin piece of aircraft cable to keep it attached to the carabiner
