Global Gizmos Cascading Chocolate Fountains/Unique Tabletop Party Centrepiece/Ideal for Parties, Weddings and Events (Premium)

I had to get a new chocolate fountain so i got this it's amazing but its noisy i don't care my kids loves it

I have been wanting one of these for a while so when I saw this with the added cascade components I ordered it.On opening, this comes as the base unit which contains the motor and heater and then there are several good quality parts that need to be fitted which takes less than a minute or two. Once completed it looks quite impressive and is ready to add the chocolate.Before adding the chocolate and according to the instructions, it needs to be heated in a microwave until melted and if the coco content is low then to add some oil to the mix, this is where I went wrong.The chocolate chips that I purchased were quite cheap and had a low coco content so when I read to add some oil, I thought "Hmmm butter would taste better" so I added 125 grams of butter and melted everything in the microwave. Whilst that was melting I turned on the fountains heater and waited.When the chocolate came out of the microwave it was very thick and more like a cake icing, it seems that by using butter I had actually thickened the chocolate, something many other people likely know but this was news to me and a mistake I won't be making again.I tried to make the chocolate runny again by adding some oil and even some skimmed milk and when I though it might be liquid enough I added it to the machine and turned the motor on.As you can see from my photo, this was less than ideal and after everyone had a good laugh and I received many remarks asking who took a dump in the fountain, lol, I decided to have a taste anyway and dipped a very large marshmallow in. Surprisingly it still tasted reasonably ok but none of us could eat more than two marshmallows covered in my chocolate mix as it was rather sickly.After this disaster, the fountain needed cleaning, all of the parts come apart to make the task easier and after a soak in some hot water it all cleaned up quite quickly and now is ready for attempt number two, which I'm sure will be perfect as I have definitely learned from my mistakes on this one, lol.None of this was the fault of the machine and I have to take full responsibility for my own disaster.So long as you don't deviate from the correct instructions for the chocolate mix this will look very impressive at a party or just for an after dinner treat.All of the parts are nicely made and come apart for easy cleaning, I particularly love the cascade effect which I am very much looking forwards to seeing next time with using some good quality chocolate.Lovely looking and well made chocolate fountain.Recommended.
