Expensive, but looks amazing
Pros- We love this, looks amazing, easy to use and especially like the glass bottles. Saved load on plastic recycling. Cons- initial outlay is expensive. Soda stream is cheaper and the bottles hold slightly more volume but we use this daily for our tonic. Updated review- fault occurred at 7 months with the lid not engaging to facilitate carbonation. Will update you later how Aarke handle this. Update- 10/23, we used this daily for 7 months and then it broke, the lid wouldn’t engage and couldn’t carbonate. Aarke replaced this for free but took a month with postage time etc, not great. The new one has worked for about six weeks and now the same thing has happened. We are really disappointed as this was bought as our wedding gift to ourselves and have asked for a full refund from Amazon who have honoured this with no issue. We are going back to our very old possibly antique but still working shabby plastic soda stream. Save your money if you need reliability.

Crap product
Bought this as an upgrade to the aarke and worst mistake ever it doesn’t even do any of the bubbles and the top thing that goes up and down doesn’t stay down anymore. It’s truly rubbish save your money. I am now going to try and see if I can get a refund I only bought it before Xmas and it stopped working already.

Beautiful, but expensive
Well made and look nice. Easy to use and bought it because it's with glass bottle. However the bottle is small and you can get two glasses of soda. Also, ridiculously expensive for what it is.

Great Product
Had a sodastream for a while until the seal went and fizzing water either meant using loads of gas or water everywhere which drove me nuts. This is expensive, but it feels engineered well and hopefully made to last (early days), so hoping this will be money well spent. I like the glass bottles better than the plastic ones which discolour after a while, plus more environmentally friendly. Gas bottles are easy to exchange (we use Argos and have never had a problem) and the product is easy to use. I did make a mistake the first few times I used it, in that I didn’t read the instructions. I read a few comments here that theirs leaked and/or the locking mechanism stopped working, but, if you push the handle down slowly after you’ve fizzed your water to allow the pressure to dissipate, then pushing the lever down the rest of the way allows it to unlock revealing your freshly fizzed water like a scene from Indiana Jones (nice touch 👍). Like I said, we’ve only had it a couple of weeks and only fizzed a few bottles so far, but if you follow the instructions it’s spot on.

Plastic internal structures broken
I love this thing but the but internal plastic structures have broken after 2 years use and the bottle covering structure no longer rises so it's really hard to use. Locking mechanism also was an issue for a while, but that went away after a month which is inexplicable. I do not recommend this product as for this price it should not last only 2 years.

Not easy to close
I was super surprised when receiving the item, it looked way to use and actually the closing mechanism when the glass bottle is in is super hard. It feels like you are going to break it and in fact it took my husband to do it first because i could not do it. Frankly i do not recommended this model with this closing mechanism.

I love my new bubble maker. Simple to use. Fits right in my kitchen. The carbon loading bay is a bit tricky but figured it out eventually.

The Aarke Carbonator Pro isn't worth the money. 1. It adds carbon poorly. You often have to push at least twice, so you'll run out of carbon fast. 2. You can't see how much carbon you added. The sodastream had a really nice sign, showing how much carbon you added. 3. The bottles are NOT interchangable. So each Aarke Carbonator requires it's own bottles, which are way too expensive. Very bad design decision you can't use the bottles on each Aarke. We regret we bought this carbonator and definitely do not recommend buying this.

I've had the SodaStream Power, and Aarke 2 carbonators, and the Aarke Pro is by far the best in terms of efficiency. The CO2 canister lasts way way longer in this machine than it did with the same usage in the other machines. Love the glass bottle, it's very sturdy and way more presentable when you have people over than the plastic bottles.

Très, très design et pratique; pour avoir eu le concurrent plastique pendant des années, j'en suis ravie de la facilité d'usage, sans eau qui déborde, le design...
