A Great SDS Chisel!
Just used this to remove mosaic floor tile and floor leveler. I ordered two in case one broke. Great product and price. Mistake not to get this!

SDS Max? Does not fit Makita
Not sure if I just got a bad one or what, but as soon as this arrived I tried to put it to use with my Makita drill and it won’t fit. Other SDS Max bits slide right in no problem, but this one seems to have been machined wrong or maybe has a bur or something preventing it from going into my drill. Maybe was just a one off problem but I will have to return it unfortunately. Oddly enough I went to Home Depot and bought another scraper tool that is SDS Max and fit right into my drill like the other SDS Max bits.

Doesn’t fit our model, our mistake when ordering.
Well darn it, my husband made a mistake when ordering this tile jackhammer bit. It is for an SDX Max and his is just the SDX Plus, so it will not fit his tool so we are unable to test it out. My husband did volunteer to but the upgraded SDX Max too though. LOL.He did examine it and said it was certainly heavy duty and had a nice sharp edge cut on it. Looked like it was sharpened by hand but would get the job done if he had the right tool to put it into. Since we have a huge tile removal job coming up this fall I am sure he will be upgrading his tool and we will be able to use this jackhammer bit to do the job. If there are any issues I will update this review at that time. So if I don’t update that means it is performing just as expected. :-)

Bigger Is Better
When it comes to removing old tile, bigger is better. This one is very wide at 6”. It works great but it wi not going to win a beauty contest. This looks like it was just pulled out of the forge and set inside the box. This tool is going to get beat up anyways and is why I understand why no effort is taken to smooth out the head to make it look better at this price point and tool’s intended use.Thank you for taking the time to read my review and photos of this product. I hope it has been helpful in providing you with more information.

Not as pictured!
I really should have studied this closer before ordering. I didn't notice the "Max" designation in the title because two of the pictures show SDS machines, NOT SDS-Max. The first one is a photo-shopped image of this bit shrunk down next to an SDS hammer drill and if you zoom in on the last picture it doesn't even show this bit - it shows an actual SDS bit.

Fits in my Dewalt
The finish on the tool shaft and connector was very polished. It inserted very easily into the Dewalt Hammer Drill. The scraper end of the tool is less polished but is square to the shaft. This looks very solid. It is going to be used in a couple of weeks when we get ready to replace some tiles in our house. I'm confident this is going to greatly speed up the demo work.I am going to rate the durability as 5 star. If that turns out to not be the case I will return to this review later.

READ THIS BEFOR BUYING !!
The quality of the unit is somewhat lacking, it works OK but I wish I would have spent more money and bought a better unit. There are no markings or names, somewhat disappointed.
