This is well made. The jaws are wider, and it's more rugged than the grabber you get from Dollar Tree. But make no mistake; it's not a crowbar. IF you step on it, it will at least deform. If you try to grab stuff that's too heavy, it will go the way of all grabbers and break.The strength of this particular reacher is that it is easy to extend and fold. It's very intuitive! If you don't like feeling your grabber is giving you an IQ test as you fold and unfold it, this may be the tool for you!It doesn't have suction cups, but I can pick quarters up off the floor with it. I can pick papers off the floor, but maybe not tagboard lying flat on the floor.I use it to reach into creepy places I don't want to put my bare hand, such as behind the washing machine or under furniture. I use it to avoid repeatedly bending over to get stuff off the floor. I use it to get stuff off the top shelves without a step ladder. It works well for this.

I usually don't write a review about a product but I felt I had to about this one . So many times when you order something you really don't know what you're going to get and the product does not meet up to my standards but this grabber absolutely met my standards . I have seen so many of these grabbers that are flimsy but this one wasn't . It was made of sturdy material . I like that it was foldable for easy storage . It is easy to use and I was able to pick up a piece of clothing from the floor , my tennis shoes , a can of food from the top shelf in my kitchen and many other things and places in my house . This is a most helpful tool and I'm sure you will not be disappointed if you purchase this grabber .

I bought this before hip replacement surgery. It worked great to putting on underwear and pants and taking them off. I could even pick up puny things like shelled peanuts that I feed the squirrels with. I tried using to take off my compression socks and it snapped at the jaws to pieces like a tooth pick. I ordered another after I learned my lesson. At first I didn't understand why they sold these in 2 packs. Then I understood after surgery. I would leave in bedroom to dress and undress, then I would have need of it in the kitchen. Then I would have to hobble to the bedroom to retrieve it using my walker.

Health issue makes it difficult to bend all the way down to the floor for certain types of items dropped. This tool is coming in very handy to fix that situation. Squarred off rubber tips are good to grab onto and hold things firmly. Magnets on the tips may make it handy for some metal objects. Being collapsable is good to take it along on the move. I should have bought the shorter one though. It's hard to keep the grip locked and reach for your picked up item. It's a bit far to reach for me. I have to pick it up then drop the item on a chair or table to get it.

Just received this reacher yesterday and have already used it multiple times.It's very sturdy and grips items very well. Foldable is nice. When fully opened, has a little "gizmo" that locks it in place.So glad I chose the buy two. Saved money and can leave one in bed and have one outside for picking up pine cones and sticks.I had been debating which reacher to buy. Maybe a longer one. There are so many choices on Amazon. The others may be okay, but I'm extremely happy I picked this one. I'm definitely a satisfied customer and highly recommend this one. Would absolutely purchase again!5 stars for sure.

This grabber worked great for several months then it broke. Contacted the seller and they were great in providing me a replacement and were very courteous and helpful.

Grab and it’s there. Not good for heavy things thoughThought you could make it go sideways or up and down but it doesn’t have that feature

I thought the grabber was a little light duty with all the plastic connectors. However, I am OCD and gentle when I use things so I didn't think it would necessarily be a problem. I used the grabber once and it worked as expected. On attempting to fold the shaft again for storage, the cable inside broke with no warning, I did not force it. I won't purchase this again.Update! After seeing this review, the seller emailed and offered me a refund. I accepted it and the cost was refunded the next day. That says a lot about the seller. I may have just received a grabber that had a factory defect. It did work well picking up trash and small debris while seated on my zero turn. For these reasons I am changing my overall rating to three stars from my initial one.

I'll be honest, I was very sceptical of the quality. It felt cheap and light. I was sure it would break within the first week. However, the fact it is so light is a bonus, my hand doesn't get sore using it for extended periods compared to others ive used that were heavier. I use this daily many times a day because I have a bad back and knees and can't bend over or squat too many times without severe pain. I haven't changed the angle of the pinchers much or folded it up so can't really comment on that function other than it works and is nice to have those options. The magnet was a bit of a learning curve and at first I thought it was useless, you have to close the pitchers to use the magnet which is good and bad. Slightly annoying how it works like that but also makes it so you aren't picking something up with the magnet unless you WANT to. The magnet seems strong and very functional. Unlike other grabbers I've used where the magnet is on the bottom part of the grabber and was grabbing magnetic things i wasnt trying to pick up. It seems that the way the hand part where you squeeze it is designed will prevent the breakage ive experienced with other types of grabbers. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and plan to but a few more to keep around the house, one in laundry room to reach into the washer and dryer, 1 for my vehicle and I will recommend it to others. It seems to be of good quality and designed to last.

Had hip replacement this is ideal for picking things up, even small bits of paper. Also helpful for dressing. Not bad quality, not sure what people expect. Having 2 means one can remain upstairs and one downstairs. Would recommend
