Review: Ensure you connect the correct wires to the correct inputs on your gate controller! - Ease of installation. Don’t dislike anything. I even like the audible tone when a vehicle passes over it. I replaced a fried loop detector with this one, most inexpensive I could find, and I am THRILLED with its performance! I connected all the wires to the correct inputs on this unit and it’s output to the “Exit” input on my gate controller. Drove the van over there and the unit made an audible noise while the van was on the loop, then my gate opened! Works great! 👍

Loop is 2 turns inside of plastic concrete, under dirt and rock. I connected the loop, applied 12DC power, and Voila - perfect detection. **Q: Will this work with magnetic wand type vehicle sensors?**
A: I'm not sure of the device that you are referring to but most inground "probe" type magnetic field sensors have an activation output ie. NO. or NC.  This is used to connect to some type of device ie. alarm or gate opener.

**Q: Can this be used with a wireless wand on the opposite side of the gate?**
A: Does the wireless wand have it's own receiver?

**Q: Is the relay output momentary?  Like pressing a button and releasing it to open a gate?**
A: You can dip switch select a momentary pulse of about 1-2 sec or presence output that stays activated as long as the unit id detecting.

Ease of installation. Don’t dislike anything. I even like the audible tone when a vehicle passes over it. I replaced a fried loop detector with this one, most inexpensive I could find, and I am THRILLED with its performance! I connected all the wires to the correct inputs on this unit and it’s output to the “Exit” input on my gate controller.
