Sturdy product and good quality
I was initially reluctant to purchase a gas-powered pressure washer because I did not want to take on additional engine maintenance. However, after reading several reviews and watching instructional videos, I learned that to achieve a consistent high operating pressure, not just peak pressure, it is ideal to use a reliable internal combustion engine to power the pump. I compared several brands and ultimately chose the Simpson 3400 psi model because it is made in the United States and provides the pressure level I need to remove mold and algae from my pool cage’s aluminum frame, as well as to clean my deck, driveway, and sidewalks more efficiently. So far, I am very satisfied with the performance. The pressure is significantly higher than that of my two previous electric washers, and the unit appears to operate reliably. The noise level bothered me at first, but I quickly adjusted. All components appear to be of good quality, at least as they look when new. In addition to the overall build quality, the larger wheels make it much easier to move the washer around, especially on grass. In summary, I am very pleased with this purchase, and based on my experience so far, I highly recommend the Simpson 3400 psi model for home use.

This is a great power washer!
I have had the Simpson Clean Machine 3500 PSI 2.5 GPM Kohler SH270 Power Washer for over two years now. I did have some issues at the very beginning. I had orginally ordered the first one which did not work, wouldnt turn over and the water pump was damaged. Called Amazon and the woman on the phone made the request for another one, as I really did want this particular power washer, very easy. The first one was picked up two days later and the next one came two days after that. Five minute set up. Connected it to a hose, filled the gas tank, went through each step listed, and the power washer started first pull, which it does 99% of the time even after it has sat for a long time. Now, you may have noticed that two parts on this power washer are not OEM. The Gas Tank (which came dented in right where the cap attaches but it wasnt an issue so it didnt bother me at the time), and the Air Cleaner Assembly, only because the power washer tipped in the back of my vehicle after I accelerated too fast. Both we very easy to fix. I decided to change out the gas tank because the cap has been hard to place back on recently and there was a slight crack where the dent was that most likely formed as a result of taking the gas cap on and off. Power washer still runs very well and I know I will get many years of service out of it. If I had to say anything truly negative about this power washer it wouldnt be about the washer. The service cleaner, that came as a bundle to the power washer, never worked right. It would get to full speed and then die back down immediately. I ended up getting rid of it just this year and I plan to get a better one sometime this year or next.

Solid Pressure Washer but hose is terrible.
Only had it a few days but wanted to make the following comments. Fired right up (First pull) and solid Pressure performance. As others have noted, the hose is terrible. Isn't flexible nor does it really conform to anything. Aside from being a pain to deal with, doubt it will last long. Don't know the pricing on replacement, but that alone makes it less 'comparable' from a price point perspective.

Failure after 5 minutes of usage **Update***
I was looking forward to using this pressure washer as Simpson is one of the top brands in the business. I received the pressure washer and everything arrived intact. It was simple to assemble and instructions were easy to follow. Added oil and gas and it was ready to go. Easy start up and was working great until it wasn't. Engine shut off and would not restart. I then discovered the spark plug wire had come unattached and when I checked it, the inside of the plug fell out. Unfortunately this could not be repaired and now I have to go to a service center for a warranty repair. A WARRANTY REPAIR AFTER 5 MINUTES IS UNACCEPTABLE. Now I have to wait 3 weeks or more for the repair. A NEW pressure washer that has to be repaired should be replaced and if not then a significant refund should be issued! This is the chance you take buying online and my advice would be to buy locally for this exact reason. Had customer service been authorized to replace the unit rather than repair the unit I would have no issues but now I am afraid this unit may give me problems for as long as I have it. **Update: I wish this was a happy ending update but as of today October 7, 2024, my NEW pressure washer is still with the Authorized Repair Center. After repeated calls, trips to the shop, conversations with warranty, the issue is still unresolved. I keep getting the same response, we are waiting on a part. No one has reached out to me to keep me in the loop during the process, the only way I get information is when I seek it out myself. I have been very patient but no one seems to care. At this point I just want a refund so I can go purchase another unit. I will keep you updated so that you may learn from my experience.

Ease of assembly
The pressure washer arrived on time and with no shipping damage. Assembly was simple with the amount of instructions and documentation provided. The washer literally started on the first pull. I also ordered an extra 50 ft hose which allowed me to get a lot of work done without constantly moving everything around. The soap attachment was also perfect and switching back and forth between soap an no soap was the simplest I’ve ever experienced. I’m definitely pleased with this unit.

Spring/Fall's Best Tool
When you live in a deed restricted community that has a homeowner's association, certain things are inspected and expected every year. This includes getting rid of any mold or algae and siding and driveways that comes from oak trees, dead leaves, humidity, etc., all of which happens to homes in my neighborhood. Most of my neighbors hire someone to pressure wash their houses/driveways at least once a year. I, on the other hand, have always been a do it yourselfer, and rationalize that doing a job yourself and not paying for someone else's labor, pays for the tool after a couple of uses. Since I am on a cornerlot, I have twice the sidewalk as my neighbors. Thus, the purchase pays for itself. After hours of internet research, I picked this one, because it had good reviews/ratings, and was the best bang for the buck, as it had the pressure to meet all my residential needs. Additionally, while researching, I learned that GPM was equally as important, as are the larger wheels and taller handle for easier mobility. NOTE: I am not one to read manuals. However, I would recommend doing to when it comes to operation. It is not hard to use, but needs to be done in a certain order, including minor maintenance storage. It cleans everything well, especially windows, but getting too close to walls will take paint off. So, no need to go larger.

Best power washer for the money I wanted to spend
Really enjoy the power washer. It is easy to use and once I figured out how to use the suction for soap I was good. I used it three times before the end of season in the south. I did order and use the treatment to maintain it over the winter.
